TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! UPCOMING KANSAS CITY 'CEASEFIRE' EXPOSED AS ANTI-GUN INITIATIVE!!!

Advocating gun rights in the urban core is one of the most unpopular positions in current American politics but it's also essential for the preservation of the 2nd Amendment.

Cynical culture war rhetoric and predatory demographic profiling constantly targets urban core residents with anti-gun propaganda by way of sponsorship and career advancement to carry the banner of this tyrannical movement. This weekend we're seeing more of the same under the guise of "community" activism.

To be fair, it's understandable that neighborhood volunteers and faith communities want to end bloodshed on their streets. Honest local efforts to stop the violence deserve support. However, this weekend what we're witnessing is part of a clandestine campaign to encourage inner-city residents to abandon their Constitutional rights and reject guns altogether.

The effort is part of Operation Ceasefire KC which hasn't been accurately reported and is rooted in a marketing campaign targeted toward a criminal population which, rightfully, encourages offenders to drop their guns.

Again, to be clear, there's nothing wrong with wanting criminals to stay away from weapons, giving youngsters free haircuts, having a picnic along with mentoring and faith community fellowship -- That kind of activism should be encouraged by everyone.

But here's the catch:

THE KANSAS CITY CEASEFIRE ENCOURAGES ADVOCACY AGAINST GUN RIGHTS AND URGES URBAN CORE DENIZENS TO GIVE UP ON THE 2ND AMENDMENT!!!

Let's dig even deeper and identify the origins of the "ceasefire" project. Here's just a bit of detail that our blog community looked up on the Internets intercepted:

"Project Ceasefire, the Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative in the Kansas City, Missouri area, is recognized nationally as being not only one of the first anti-gun violence programs, but one of the most successful. In 1999, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Missouri partnered with the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission to develop and implement a strategy to reduce gun violence. Through contributions from the area business community and foundations, Project Ceasefire was launched. A large adverting agency, Valentine Radford, played a tremendous role in negotiating advertising on billboards, TV, and radio, designing a unique Ceasefire logo, and working with analysts. The information provided by the research enabled Ceasefire to determine a target audience and geographic areas where the program's impact could best be evaluated."

And now check the specifics regarding local niche marketing:

"The target population of the educational aspect of Project Ceasefire is aimed at convicted felons. State and federal authorities estimate that about 12,000 persons are currently under some form of release supervision (probation or parole) and that the total number of convicted felons in the metropolitan area may be as high as 30,000. The Project Ceasefire initiative also intends to reduce violent crime by those felons who continue to choose to carry firearms or use them in the commission of crimes by educating the public, as well, on this issue. In these cases, citizens in the Kansas City area will be informed to call the existing Crime Stoppers (816) 474-TIPS Hotline, sponsored by the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission . . .

Accordingly . . .

Given the rapid pace of local gentrification, shifting populations and a far more diverse population now than at the outset of this program . . .

ADDRESSING THE ENTIRETY OF THE KCMO URBAN CORE LIKE FELONS AND ENCOURAGING EVERYONE TO GIVE UP THEIR GUNS IS AN OLD SCHOOL AND OUTDATED STRATEGY!!!

Moreover . . .

Kansas City residents should be skeptical of a "ceasefire" effort that is predicated on disarming a criminal population but offers little distinction between felon or youngster. The blanket anti-gun message isn't just condescending, it's dangerous and leaves law-abiding residents defenseless amid rising homicide and property crime.

Sadly, racial bigotry and identity politics confuse the issue of gun rights as so many Americans are mired in promoting an agenda that either overlooks anti-gun rhetoric when it occurs out of the sphere of Conservative influence or, even worse, promotes "progressive" efforts to target and disarm law-abiding residents of the inner-city in the name of nonviolence. Nevertheless, the promise of 2nd Amendment isn't sustainable if the freedom it protects is not realized throughout the land and regardless of partisan dispositions.

The fundamental reality is that there can be a "ceasefire" which also promotes liberty and self-defense wheres actively disarming the KCMO urban core sounds more like advocating surrender.

You decide . . .

  1. Getting guns out of the hands of felons is a good thing, absolutely support it. But I'm not sure how a neighborhood BBQ is gonna do that. This program has been running since 99 and so far crime has gotten worse in KC since then.

  3. Oh No! Not my guns! No no no. They're coming for our guns again!! Bang bang bang! Guns good, people bad! Pew pew pew! I fuck guns! Murica! Obama tried to take our guns! Defend yourselves! Pow pow pow! guns don't kill people, gun lovers kill people! I love my gun more than my fat wife! If I din't have a gun, I wouldn't feel like a man cause I have a tiny dick and can't fuck!! We need our guns! Or else how are we going to kill ourselves because our lives lack meaning and our guns don't love us back? You big dummy, it's not a fully automated machine gun, see you don't know guns! I do...intimately. My gun completes me. Pew pew pew!

  6. KC has always hated guns, they try to ban them every few years and non stop throughout the Summer the mothers against crime or whatever are constantly talking about passing more laws against guns.

    ReplyDelete
  7. @10:21 I am sure there is a small segment of gun owners that feel exactly as you described, but that doesn't mean all gun owners feel that way. So play the "my gun is a substitute for my penis" game all you'd like, but there is no question in my mind that when I was confronted by thugs, my pistol was the only thing that kept me from, at minimum, being assaulted and robbed, and could have been the difference between life and death. You anti-gunners don't seem to realize that I am not the problem. Yet, your ignorant, virtue-signaling ilk want to trample on my Constitutional rights. When will you realize that thugs don't care about laws?

  8. 10:21 isn’t it time for you and tommy to go play tummy sticks again? Calm down.

Anyway, KCMO doesn’t need any more laws on guns. It’s illegal to rob and kill and people still do it all the time in the city so what are gun laws going to do if murder laws are ignored.

  11. If we know all these felons and people on probation are carrying guns, wouldn't a more effective approach be to have that worthless prosecutor Jean Peters Baker (for God's sake, drop that Peters) prosecute these illegal gun carriers and send them to jail?

We know that JPB is a worthless sack of shit. Why isnt the US Atty stepping up to fill the void?

Wouldn't either of these legal tools be more productive and effective than a BBQ and a marketing campaign? When has anyone ever said "oh, you're a marketing exec. You must be brilliant" or "ohhhh...dry-rubbed ribs! Let's lock up our guns and go get a bone or two while communing with our neighbors"?

The problem with libs is a complete and utter lack of common sense and responsibility.

  13. This article is a big propaganda tool, don't fall for it.

It's saying that this program is causing felons to not commit gun related crimes but crime rate is up due to non felons carrying guns. In other words we who own guns and are not felons are out shooting everyone. This is B.S.

Springfield Mo crime rate is extremely high per their population, as is Kansas City Mo.

Never going to happen, and in my area democrats as well as republicans are loaded with guns and have even gone as far as built safe rooms in their houses.

Try to take away our 2 amendment and there will be a fight like this country has never seen before. Good Luck

Pew pew pew! You wanna test me? Bang bang bang. I carry my gun cause I ain't got balls. Ask me about my gun! Pew pew pew!

  16. There is NO WAY I am giving up my guns, voluntarily or involuntarily. As a white man in Hyde Park it would be suicidal to give them up, and I suggest you don't try to take them either.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Shee-it. More blacks have guns in this town than whites, and most aren't allowed to have them, let alone smart enough to know how to use them. People make a big deal about guns, but more kids are killed while texting and driving and alcohol and drug intoxication than guns, and I don't see the Parkland kids marching against cell phones. haha.

  18. Sad the current laws are not enforced. If they were there would not a gun problem to solve. When the laws are enforced as written the left comes unhinged and their reaction to enforcing illegal alien laws is a prime example of the behavior they are known for.

  29. You really don't know what the Operation CeaseFire KC Movement is. Is not to take guns away. It's not aimed at felons, it's not aimed at the 2nd Amendment. It's definitely not political! It's aimed at the senseless shootings in the community. They not talking to the average law biding citizen, I have a carry and conceal license. They talking about these stupid citizens, that want to shoot somebody for something stupid.
