KCPT hires Bryan Truta to lead 90.9 The Bridge to wider audience - Kansas City Business Journal
Radio station 90.9 The Bridge is mixing things up again, this time with the addition of Bryan Truta as senior director of radio operations. The station has taken several different forms through the years. Originally, it was based in Warrensburg as a part of the University of Central Missouri.
Not sure that was a smart move.
ReplyDeleteExcellent station, now.
ReplyDelete90.9's signal sucks in different parts of Kansas City metro. They need to move their transmitting antenna close to the top of KCTV's tower for a better signal in Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteGreat station currently, and everyone understands the need to stay out of the red, so the question now is whether Truta can find a way to do that without ruining a listener's radio station. The Bridge Live on KCPT should get better promotion, and Truta should stay the sam hell out of the music selection. You mess with John, Byron or Sarah and you'll incur some hellacious wrath.
ReplyDeleteLet's take time to look at why 90.9 is so great, shall we? It's everything 96.5 The Buzz isn't. The end. Seriously, Affentra's awful voice and Lazlo's liberal screed are driving listeners to other stations in droves. And since the Buzz is virtually a hip hop station (I keep expecting to hear Drake and Miley Cyrus), 90.9 is becoming more appealing. Hey Bridge! Fix your signal strength issues and we will listen. Stations from St. Joe and Topeka have better signals. Jeebus!
