PHIL GLYNN IS CLOSE TO TEAM KANDER AND WILL EITHER:

- REMAIN IN THE RACE THROUGH THE PRIMARY WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DRAW VOTES AWAY FROM COUNCILMAN QUINTON LUCAS . . .
A prominent South Kansas City pastor has endorsed the mayoral candidacy of Crossroads businessman Phil Glynn.
The Rev. Ronald Lindsay, senior pastor of Concord Fortress of Hope Church in Ruskin Hills, appeared with Glynn and said Glynn's experience with job creation was needed in the city's under-served neighborhoods. The endorsement was surprising for its timing — a year ahead of the mayoral primary — and Lindsay's commitment to Glynn, a first-time candidate. Among the regular attendees at his predominantly African American church of 2,000 members is City Councilman Quinton Lucas, who was months away from entering the mayoral race.
Glynn’s campaign team includes Abe Rakov, who was campaign manager for Kansas Citian and former Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander’s unsuccessful 2016 bid to unseat U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt.
In 2005, after moving across the state line from his native Johnson County KS to enter MO politics, Jason and Diana Kander formed a campaign committee called Heartland Democrats of America.
In 2007, Phil Glynn filed paperwork amending the committee's organization to then list himself as Treasurer, taking over from Jason Kander. (see documentation below)
So let's recap . . .
- Phil Glynn was part of Jason Kander's PAC not so long ago.
- Phil Glynn is playing the social justice warrior despite limited experience or record of any community advocacy. His fledgling campaign was also trumped up by the creeps @ The Star.
- Phil Glynn is using the same campaign staffers who have worked closely with Jason Kander.
Ergo . . .

ReplyDeleteI can assure you that this is not the Glynn-Kander story you want. Kander completely blindsided Glynn by entering the race. A few weeks prior he told him he was officially running for President. Glynn WAS Kander’s biggest supporter until this happened. Glynn is in for the long haul, and now wants to beat the crap out of Kander. Dig a little deeper, guys….

When Jason Kander and Abe Rakov were strategizing to enter the KCMO Mayor's race in 2017, Phil Glynn miraculously decided to announce his candidacy (not for Council, but for Mayor). He quickly targeted Quinton Lucas' church leader, asking for an endorsement. As well, he's targeting Lucas' base of support to draw votes away from the Councilman.
Amateur hour. Kander's a yuppie punk. No idea who Glenn is.
ReplyDeleteThis is just the beginning of a long, precipitous, and painful decline for Kander as he discovers just how different and much more difficult being in the sleazy KCMO political arena is than flying around the country talking to Democratic partisans about voting rights and appearing as a talking head on MSNBC.
