Missouri's new Governor Mike Parson is a man with little name recognition throughout the state, and already sporting a bullseye on his back!
What if former MO Secretary of State Jason Kander tires of wandering the national political desert and returns for a shot at the Governor's office? Some report the governorship was his original intended steppingstone before making the leap to Washington, D.C., but Chris Koster derailed that ambitious timing. Kander recently appeared in New Hampshire with KCMO Mayor James and a couple of St. Louis Democrats in tow.
When Kander terminated his "Kander For Missouri" campaign committee just over a year ago, he paid his campaign manager $15,000 and moved the remaining nearly half-million into his new entity "Let America Vote." Curiously, when reviewing his election history on the MO Ethics Commission website, there's already an uncompleted entry for 2024.

While I agree that it's highly unlikely that he's going to be the next President, those same odds probably are facing him if he tries to be governor.
ReplyDeleteWrong. Parson is far to boring to be Governor for long. If he's smart he'll finish out the term and be done with it.

DeleteVERY wishful thinking. But I'm not sure if Kander is ready for the kind of vitriol that Missouri politics offers. It has gotten even rough since he left.
