Shawnee Mission School District responds to walkout backlash

Shawnee Mission School District leaders addressed backlash from student walkouts Monday. In a special school board meeting, the district's interim superintendent, Kenny Southwick gave an update on his investigation into the how the protests were handled. Southwick estimated around 3,000 students took part in the April 20 walkouts.

  1. High school is still the same as it was when us gezzers were there. Full of adults who lust after the power to be big fish in the small pond. The job attracts bullies, short men, and fat women whose life's highlight was pulling grades in high school.
