PLEASE BOYCOTT MAIN ST. AND PLAZA STARBUCKS IN SOLIDARITY WITH PHILLY SOCIAL JUSTICE LOITERING HOT MESS!!!
The struggle to take up space and inconvenience patrons spending money is real.
To wit and after a reader request . . .
THE TKC BLOG COMMUNITY ENCOURAGES SOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIORS AND HOBOS TO BOYCOTT BOTH THE MAIN ST. & PLAZA STARBUCKS SO THAT PAYING CUSTOMERS CAN FIND A PLACE TO SIT!!!
Sorry to be a fuddy-duddy about this one but a few things came to mind regarding this story given that TKC is fueled by coffee . . .
- All biz has a right to refuse service. Even worse if a "customer" isn't buying something then they don't have any right to hang around.
- Do protesters honestly think that coffee racism is alive & well in Philly of all places???
- These guys had every opportunity to leave when asked, not every dispute has to involve social justice protest. This is a ploy not civil rights problem.
- From hobos to college students and low rent biz people who don't want take meetings at their office or a bar . . . People who don't buy something make Starbucks pretty much horrible at peak hours.
Accordingly . . .
DID YOU KNOW THE KCMO MAIN ST. STARBUCKS & PLAZA LOCATIONS ARE RANKED NATIONALLY AS THE BUSIEST COFFEE SHOPS IN THE HEARTLAND!?!
SO AN SJW BOYCOTT MIGHT MAKE THINGS MORE CONVENIENT FOR PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY WANT TO BUY SOMETHING!!!
Also, some of us are in a hurry. I've got cartoons to watch!!!
Take a peek at the latest links on this story and tell us what you think:

You decide . . .
Local coffee shops are a much better alternative.
ReplyDeleteOr brew your own.
Even better!
This boycott is the only hope the Roasterie has of survival . . .
DeleteSince when do you have the right to stay on someone's property if asked to leave?
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteBetter yet, just don't do business with Starbucks, their coffee is horrible.
Even funnier, their own kind is boycotting them.
Finding a bathroom in Center City Philadelphia was almost impossible at one time. So hard to find they passed a law requiring all businesses to make their bathrooms available for people who had to use a restroom.
ReplyDeleteTaking space away from paying customers is a problem for all places serving food. If the place was packed I have no problem with them being asked to leave. Calling the police may have been overkill, arrest surely was overkill.
McDonalds demands their cups don't leak for 12-minutes then they must start to weep/leak to keep customers from sitting there all day.
No fan of Starbucks or their customers but tho doth protest too much.
just because they serve black coffee doesn't mean that they have to serve blacks. I miss the good old days.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why people feel the need to comment on everything? What did you people solve? Nothing. Did anything any of you had to say change things? No. Why are you wasting your day on a blog? Do you people have anything else to do?
ReplyDeleteAh yes! The race to the bottom continues via SJW's and the liberal accommodating media.
ReplyDeleteKeep the masses alarmed over:
1) 2 non-customer loitering instigators in a Philly coffee shop
2) Efforts to rename a street 50 years after a prominent death
...and the public will never notice that Sylvester James/Troy Schulte/Jolie Justus/Scott Taylor have dramatically raised their taxes, their water/sewer rates, enriched themselves and their developer friends, and squandered over a billion dollars while KCMO sets homicide records, still has a failing public school system, and a failing public sector pension system.
^So true. Very well said.
DeleteGive some people an inch and they will take a mile; start apologizing for some unjustified perceived wrong and you will invite more wrong doing.

This was all a stunt to make another business look bad. It was a huge set up and they got the attention they set out to get.
ReplyDeleteToo bad they don't serve chicken at Starbucks.

ReplyDeleteI doubt it. Howard Schultz, is a huge liberal who wanted to make everyone "Have a conversation about race" while they ordered their coffee.
Nothing makes me happier, than seeing that progressive phony poseur get eaten by his own.
Starbucks is a place where you go to spend 8.00 on a cup of fancy coffee and feel like your in a place where "It takes a village".
Blacks would kill off anything white, thats what idiots like Howard schultz who buy into the whole 'racism' bs will only admit, after they are as dead as the white south africans now being murdered in a genocide that no one hears about.
For his pennance, he should open up thousands of new franchises in south africa where the blacks killing whites could go to the bathroom after they murder as many whites as it takes to make liberals feel good.
Black Coffee Matters!
ReplyDeleteLOL!
DeleteOr, maybe: BATHROOM LOCKS MATTER!
Seriously. If your business needs to stop, or try to lessen, the bums who don't make a purchase, or steal your toilet paper, do whore baths in your sinks, troll for BathHouse hookups, or just filthy the facilities YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO KEEP IT LIMITED ACCESS TO CUSTOMERS.
At least, have a policy that they have to ask for the code or key (hassle, because some idjits lock it in there or walk out with it). That way they're on camera at the service or register area (since you can't record inside the loo. Yeah, you better have cameras in the public areas THESE DAMN DAYS!) No guarantee, but maybe FUBAR will be minimized.
If they were black women knitting they could hang in the corner all day and then write about being treated un-fairly.

I go to Starbucks all the time and I have never seen any situation relating to any kind of Racial intolerance. Actually I have seen just the opposite.
ReplyDeleteIf we did this, and they did that, then that would be it. I mean, I am really changing the world. Know what I mean? Blah blah blah. Mumble mumble mumble. I have an opinion. Liberal repuptard decomcrim republikkan. Yes, no!
ReplyDeletePlay the Race Card To Riches game today !!!
ReplyDeleteI have been to Starbucks and been told to leave because I had shit myself, and was making the other customers sick.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeletethe uber-rich Starbucks owner Howard Schultz was preparing to run for the Dumocrat prez nomination in 2020..
...was.
Just amazing what the younger generation will attempt to protest over the silliest issue, BUT when a serious issue come up, like cucky'berg and stupid facebook,, total crickets = silence !!!
ReplyDeletesimply amazing the ignorance & stupidity !
Ohh by the way Star Bucks always did SUCK with their over priced BS Coffees,,,, everybody knows it !
really $5.00 to $7.00 for a cup of Crap'a'chino' ???????
ReplyDelete9:46 FTW.
I don't see very many blacks at all at the local Starbucks, maybe because its cost money for the coffee. Those people aren't going to pay that are you kidding?
ReplyDeleteAsk any person who is/was a waiter or waitress they don't hardly give any kind of tip.
Blacks want to pretend they are rich by wearing all the bling but are poor as dirt. They save the money for a quick high or booze, that's why you see so many liqueur stores in the ghetto.
I went last year to the Starbucks at 45th & Main--and asked to use the bathroom. I asked the manager why it is locked, and requires a code for EVERYONE. Paying or not. She said, "Because we have folks wander in here and lock the bathroom and use drugs. Or they try to sleep in there."
ReplyDeleteMade sense to me. She then gave me the day's code, (they change it every day at least once) before my guest arrived and we ordered.
Tony is right. That Starbucks is crammed full of snooty entitled squatters using the wifi and not renting an office. Sit there for three or four hours at a time. Hogging all the charging plugs as well.
Back in the 80's, Tom Leathers, publisher of the beloved Squire Newspaper in Joco squatted 4 or 5 hours a day in "his" legendary booth at the back of Pumpernicks, 95th & Mission, Ranchmart North, till Bob Regnier ran him off. He bought one cuppa day and harassed the waitresses to refill it all day long...and never tipped. Just squeezed their butts and called 'em "Hey Gorgeous". But that was when there was table-service. Unlike Starbucks, Pumpernicks was never full, so less of an issue. And the two drugs folks did then were uppers or alcohol.
Sucks getting crazy and old^^^
ReplyDeleteThat's a good comment Tracy and thanks for giving us more information at what goes on at that particular Starbucks.
ReplyDeleteI can understand from their point of view of how to try and deter the problem they were having.
Oh Dear Lord, Tracy - "Back in the 80s... And the two drugs folks did then were uppers or alcohol."
ReplyDeleteChild, you have led a VERY Sheltered Life!
Cyrano, that's my story and I'm stickin' with it.
ReplyDeleteI would never divulge my entire history to the trolls here.
Oh, I quite understand, and I keep a few "nuggets and cesses" to myself as well, but it probably ain't necessary, a goodly portion wouldn't understand what you were talking about, another sizable fraction would ramble on about how it was all Obama's fault, "Copro Boy" would rant about his Diaper Collection, leaving the "cognoscenti" to smile and hum the theme song from "All In The Family".
ReplyDeleteThe only time StarBucks makes the news is for something bad. Their coffee is crap, worse that Roasterie. It's tremendously overpriced and people that go there daily like to walk in like thay are coffee experts with their quick "GrandeDoubledoubletoilandtroublewithashotofjojoju" Who gives a shit that is not coffee.
ReplyDeleteOh No! My small dick prevents me from peeing in public. I also wear a diaper. Starbucks has banned me.
ReplyDeleteThe same people who want to make $15 per hour shouldn't be paying $5 for a cup of coffee. And if they are then that level of intelligence may be why they aren't worth $15.
ReplyDeleteThe two black men arrested were waiting for a third friend to arrive before purchasing thier coffee. The Starbucks didn't want them to wait to purchase and called the cops. The third friend arrived just as they got arrested. Point is Starbuck's lost paying customers.
ReplyDeleteSurely there were verbal exchanges between the two black men and the Starbucks manager before the latter asked the former to vacate the premises. What was said by both parties? It's a pity that there are no longer any inquiring journalists to investigate and tell us.
ReplyDeleteI have more than once been asked to either order or leave. I have no issue with it other than I just might not ever return to the place unless they are busy and I understand. This is why places started charging cover charges years ago to deal with the deadbeats who don't want to pay to stay.
ReplyDeleteFree WiFi is for paying customers not free to just anyone off the street.
Proud to say I am not racist! I like my coffee with flavor (unlike Starbucks) and I like it Black.
ReplyDeleteStarbucks is closing all stores for a day of training! Better buy two cups the day before!
ReplyDeleteMike Sanders scheduled every meeting I ever had with him at Starbucks. First he favored the store in Westport and then the one on Main. Figures.
ReplyDeleteDonald Trump always stole every time he went into a Starbucks, also he has a very short dick.
ReplyDelete"The same people who want to make $15 per hour shouldn't be paying $5 for a cup of coffee. And if they are then that level of intelligence may be why they aren't worth $15."
ReplyDeleteUmmm. How do you know these men don't make well north of $15 per hour? And while I think it's not too bright to pay Starbucks' prices, whose business is it if these guys do? Jump to conclusions much?
1:07 the whole thing was staged, why wouldn’t the two idiots tell the manager they were waiting on someone, and Jesus Christ how long did they wait to tell them to leave? Starbucks screwed up by blaming themselves before all the facts came out
ReplyDeleteI had the same experience with Skippy Sanders. What was that all about?
ReplyDeleteI went into a Starbucks and was given a cup of coffee! God damn them to hell!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOne person fucks up and the entire company overreacts, and makes everyone have to pay for it. So sad!
ReplyDeleteTheir anger will subside when they are forced to work at a similar company to obtain food, narcotics, etc.
ReplyDeleteMany white liberals are all about diversity until they actually have to interact with minorities and then they freak out and call the po po (for white liberals - po po means police).

ReplyDeleteThe narrative (at least any I've come across thus far) concerning the exchange between the two men and the store mgr seems about as thin as sliced ham. To call this a rush to judgement would be an understatement.
