TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY ZOO CELEBRATES COUPLING OF LESBIAN POLAR BEARS!!!

There's an important subtext pushed front and center in today's reporting of the latest development in Kansas City animal captivity.

Take a peek:

"Kansas City Zoo getting second female polar bear to join its solitary Berlin"

The deets:

The zoo is welcoming a second polar bear named Bam Bam to Kansas City next month. The 30-year-old female bear comes from the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium in Omaha, Nebraska.

The zoo said in a news release that Bam Bam loves to play with plastic barrels at her current home, and she’s very smart and inquisitive.

Bam Bam is joining 28-year-old Berlin at the Kansas City Zoo’s Polar Bear Passage, which can accommodate up to three bears.

Accordingly

This may all seem innocent fun and games to locals without a complex understanding of females in captivity but I've seen every season of Orange Is The New Black . . . Twice. So, TKC understanding of lesbian politics and outdated slang should be without question.

Even more science . . .

Females polar bears in captivity quickly form a lesbian bond that is unbreakable.

And so, the subtext should be obvious to locals with a keen eye for detail. These KC polar bears are lesbian lovers not gal pal roommates. The "relationship" is more akin to cellmates forced to find comfort in the soft and loving embrace of another female inmate amid cruel circumstances.

You decide . . .

Comments

  1. Berlin never bread with Nikita the former KC male bear so there is actually a good argument that she does prefer the company of women.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

    1. ^^^ LOL.

The passage was supposed to be a breading facility but that hasn't happened for years. I hope it's not that cruel and that the female polar bears can enjoy it.

    2. I know you're trying to be funny but there's nothing humorous about the captivity of these poor animals. We should be doing our best to help them survive IN THE WILD and that means supporting their habitat with environmental protections. This is actually a disgraceful exhibit and something that shows the younger generation that it's okay to destroy our planet in the name of entertainment.

  2. ^^^ Get a grip.

They're better off in captivity. They wouldn't make it two days in the wild. They will have a longer life in KC and sell lots of tickets to help pay for the "money pit" as TKC calls it.

  6. When is one or both of them going to run for public office in KCMO?
They appear to have at least some of the important qualifications.

  8. I guess we'd better enjoy the old bears at the zoo while they last. They will soon be extinct in the wild.
