Here's a local achievement that deserves recognition and a reminder that Kansas City's entertainment scene is making progress beyond the primetime schlock and B-movie entertainment touted by MSM . . . Take a look at this local milestone:
Kansas City's own Monique Heart, who entertains at Hamburger Mary's and Missie B's, has been selected as one of the 14 contestants on VH1's RuPaul's Drag Race, 10th season. It's big news for Kansas City and not an easy achievement since so many drag queens around the country compete for a spot.
She's the cover story in the March issue of Camp - Kansas City's LGBT News Source Of Record
Good for him/her!
ReplyDeleteGood for Monique. The article is fantastic and a lot of locals don't know this but the drag scene in Kansas City is among the nation's best. There have been a few articles about it in the local rags but Camp, obviously, covers it best.

ReplyDeleteFreaks!
ReplyDelete^^^ Jelly
ReplyDelete^^^^^^
ReplyDeleteAgree, FREAKS! Grotesque!
^^^^^^^^^^ Have to agree with the geezer hater on this one. If somebody living their life and doing much better than most people REALLY makes you mad then it's because you're unsatisfied with your own existence.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you're even seeing something that you wanted but could never attain.
??
^^^Disagree. Square. Repressed. Live and let live. Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteHave to agree with 8:32 here. People who criticize are likely jealous, repressed or both. Keep your ignorant opinions to yourself.
ReplyDeleteDidn't know that Hoopz moonlighted at Hamburger Mary's.
ReplyDeleteThe fucking freaks should keep their perversions to themselves. Don't tell use we have to accept that nonsense you ignorant perverted freak show.
ReplyDelete^^These fucking geezers should keep their ignorant mouths shut. Don't tell us we have to accept that nonsense your ignorant pants-shitting mouths spout.
ReplyDeleteSerious Question
ReplyDeleteWhy do these gay men who get off on cross-dressing, get promoted on magazine covers, TV shows, Las Vegas shows, etc., but you never see lesbians getting the same type of coverage?
Is it because there's a coordinated media effort to degrade strong masculine figures?
^^No. Stupid question.
ReplyDelete@ 9:42 is right, there is a coordinated media effort to degrade strong masculine leaders!
ReplyDeleteI mean, look at Cadet Bonespurs aka Wimpster Tinyhands!
You mean, look at Crooked Lying Foundation Fraudster aka Putin's Plutonium Puppet.
ReplyDeleteShe wanted to be the strong masculine figure as the first female (so we're told) POTUS. But, EVERYONE & EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN conspired against HER! Read all about it in her book.
Find a rock big enough for that thing to crawl under.
ReplyDelete...and we tore down statues of Andrew Jackson for this kind of shit?
