Why outlaw "assault" cardboard? Well, that's not a thing.
Cardboard use in violence is .0000000001%. Basically never.
In 7 attacks, the bomber killed 2 people and injured 5. If he had used a gun, the number killed would have been easily double digits. If he used an AR-15 in 7 attacks, it would have been at least dozens killed and hundreds injured.
