GOP Elected officials aren't putting themselves on the line after they saw how Guv. Greitens targeted Senior Republican Sen. Rob Schaaf over a policy debate and BRUTALLY trolled him via campaign rhetoric.

MISSOURI REPUBLICANS SEEM TO BE TURNING THEIR BACK ON THE GOVERNOR BECAUSE HE HAS DONE NOTHING TO WIN THEIR LOYALTY!!!
Guv Greitens is a dude who wanted to be President and coalition building or devotion to crafting policy has never been his strong-suit.
The reality is that the GOP has very little reason to become Guv Greitens groupies right now.
Moreover, let's not forget that Guv Lite Parson has far more convincing MISSOURI CREDENTIALS and connections to rural communities that the current Guv has never invested the time in creating and mostly just faked by way of a big money campaign.
And so . . . We'll continue to witness the demise of a celebrity politico amid some objections from Conservative rabble and scant defense from real opinion or elected conservative leaders.

Missouri politicians on both sides of the isle are pretty much a pack of old fart tree huggers. Greitens is a threat to the old boy network. The moochers in Jeff City have spent years getting things just like they want them and change is not part of the program. Time for these dead weight geezers to move aside and join the rest of the new millennium.

He proved that the people of Missouri could become sick liberals and progressives to the point that they would elect a complete Outsider as long as he was conservative and would drain the swamp. The fact that he trounced a Democrat Golden Boy like Koster makes it even more wonderful. Much like the 1994 cleanup of Congress, the 2016 clean out Missouri politics will go down in history- effectively carved in stone.

Regardless of any criminal allegation, of which he will almost certainly be exonerated, he allowed his previous indiscretions to follow him into office. This is indicative of poor judgement and the people of Missouri, even conservatives, will not forget it. He couldn't get reelected to save his ass. The boy needs to swallow his pride and do the right thing, which is to resign so someone with a little maturity can take over.

ReplyDeleteNeither Greitens nor Koster were candidates of sterling character, nor were they products of their parties, since both had switched parties in their recent past. In a state with a population of well over 5 million, we should be able to do better. However, voters don't choose candidates, rich donors do. Overturn Citizens United, limit campaign contributions and throttle money in politics or be content with government bought by the wealthiest: The Humphreys, the Koch brothers, Rex Sinqfield or the rest.
