An exceptionally violent Sunday leaves another resident dead. Even worse . . .
KANSAS CITY IS BACK ON TRACK AS THE LOCAL HOMICIDE COUNT IS NOW KEEPING PACE WITH LAST YEAR!!!
There were 9 homicides last year at this time as 2017 was one of the most violent years on record in more than a generation.
Check the links . . .
KMBC: KC Police investigating homicide after two people show up at a hospital with gunshot wounds
KSHB: One dead, another injured in shooting at 16th and Elmwood in KCMO
Fox4: There is no suspect information at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

DeleteTo record a 20% increase over 2017 would be respectable. That would be 180, an average of 15 per month. We are a little behind so far, but the weather wasn’t the best. We need to finish January strong.

ReplyDeleteKCPD cannot get the job done.
ReplyDeleteWe need more social workers
ReplyDelete1003....Obviously the facts prove that murder in KC is a racist crime stat.
ReplyDeleteI would love to never hear about homicides in this city until the end of the year, this local government never does anything to get the numbers down. I would rather when I watch on New Years Eve when we see the segment on the people we lost this year - just learn the numbers then, homicides in KC are almost everyday! Instead of report on a homicide they should report on what the local leaders are doing to reduce the numbers. The homicides are going up every year. which if you live here should show you the priorities of the mayor and his council. Maybe if they took the "I" and the "ME" out of the equation, only then will anyone see changes in this city!!
