Depending on the rate of global climate change, October is typically the last, decent night for the "creative class," scenesters and d-bags of all sort to engage in the people watching festival we call Kansas City First Friday.

After that, the parties move indoors and get a bit too "artsy" for the bigger crowds.

And so . . . We offer this quick guide that actually provides some context and a few items worth of checking out rather than just enduring a brief series of stop & chats, booze guzzling and disappointment by way of trendy restaurant.
