As nation mourns in the aftermath of the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history and looks for unity through sports . . . Some Kansas City Chiefs continue disrespect for the anthem.
Marcus Peters continued to sit for anthem before Chiefs-Redskins
He was joined in protest by rookie linebacker Ukeme Eligwe.
None of the Redskins protested during the National Anthem.
Even more interestingly, the cable TV audiences (and at least one visiting player) recoiled at the Kansas City spin on the anthem at Arrowhead:

ReplyDeleteI would like to hear any of the kneeling players explain in detail exactly what they are protesting. Not citing meaningless inanities like "social injustice," "hands up don't shoot" or "a country that doesn't care about them," but specific points that are firmly based on statistics and rational arguments. Otherwise I will continue to believe that the well funded and professionally organized BLM protests are just the Democrats' last ditch efforts to force African Americans back on the voting plantation.
This whole anthem thing is for losers. The losers who kneel, the losers who cry about the losers kneeling, and the losers who wrap themselves in the flag and proudly declare I'm more of M'erkin than you." Meanwhile, the rest of us and the best of us, just enjoy the game.

ReplyDeleteI want the TV cameras focusing on the crowd when the National Anthem is played. Are the fans standing with their hands on their hearts, respectfully gazing at the flag? Or are they jerking around, moving up and down the aisles, drinking their beers while the "SACRED" song is played? If you are at a game, take a look at your fellow fans and see what I'm talking about.
