A very brave recent post on her public page offered viewers a glimpse into the real life of an NBC Action 41 News achor.
Checkit:
Rhiannon Ally:"I struggled with whether to post something so personal. I try to post mostly uplifting things on my page. But, then I saw that today is International Overdose Awareness Day. My 21-year old cousin lost his battle with his drug addiction today. I don't know what the answer is to stop or "fix" our drug problem in the U.S., but I do know that my family is completely devastated. Seeing how heartbroken my grandmother is, made me realize that I wanted to share to show any of you watching a family member battle this, you're not alone. Keep fighting. We cannot let drugs win. We must figure this out. Drugs destroy lives."
The confessional has earned quite a bit of response and an outpouring of sympathy from viewers and colleagues alike.
You decide . . .
Good for her!
ReplyDeleteSo often the local news people just post selifes or those stupid "news of the weird" at least she is looking to help people and show them that drug abuse impacts everyone.
^^^ +1
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see that some of the female news anchors aren't just another pretty face and they have something to say.
6:17 FTW
ReplyDeleteFACT :
ReplyDeleteMajority of Democratic Liberals "Advocate" using Drugs & Dope and have shit loads of pathetic excuses for doing so !
Don't be a Degenerate Pathetic Lib'tard !!!
Fact: Your mother wanted to abort you. Fact: she still wishes she would've today.
DeleteSorry any time someone loses their life to alcoholism or addiction. It doesn't have to be like that.
ReplyDeleteBe sure to thank Obama for permitting such a massive and lucrative drug industry.
ReplyDeleteWe need to hire Duterte and put him in charge of Drug Enforcement.
ReplyDeleteRhiannon Ally says, "We cannot let drugs win."
ReplyDeleteOk, first the obvious. "Drugs" do not have a brain, conscience, or anything enabling them to be self-aware. Thus, they don't care who wins, loses, or manages a tie.
Illicit drugs, except for being labeled illegal by the government, are the same as alcohol/tobacco/gambling/porn/food/etc., in that the individual using/abusing the substance is completely responsible for their own behavior.
Society tolerates some substance abuse while simultaneously condemning other abuses. A KC Royals player was just issued a DUI the other day in one of the nicest parts of the metro. He's wealthy, privileged, said he made a mistake, so nothing will come of it. A blue-collar guy caught doing the same thing in KC or Independence would be under arrest, maybe lose his job, and be in a mess of trouble.
More to the point, we shouldn't really care what Rhiannon Ally has to say about anything. Reading the news propaganda on TV doesn't require above-average intelligence, in fact most "newsies" aren't too bright. The primary requirements for this job are decent speaking ability, don't be ugly, do what you're told, be narcissistic, and make commercials about yourself so the station can sell you like a brand of deodorant.
You'll know Rhiannon Ally is serious about curtailing drug abuse when she begins honestly reporting about the groups which promote and benefit from the illicit drug trade (federal government, intelligence agencies, military agencies, major banks laundering money, political families like Bush/Clinton, wealthy investors, etc.). Don't hold your breath waiting.
Gent bent loser. No one wants your worthless opinion on anything. Your post was too fucking long anyway.
DeleteSorry for your loss of a family member Ms. Ally. Sorry for anyone who has lost a loved one to the drugs. Jesus Saves Jesus Saves.
ReplyDeleteReading some of the stories rolling out of 41, I'm almost sure the whole 41 crew stays pretty much stoned most of the time.
ReplyDeleteRhiannon is a winner. Glad to have a real hometown girl on the air. If 41 can keep her they will be number 1 and stay that way.
ReplyDeleteRepublicans own the opiod companies.
ReplyDeleteDemocrats own the weed companies.
ReplyDeleteI own both of your mother's.
ReplyDeleteSo what ?
It's capitalism that stands to prophets from opiod addiction. 20 percent die but new addicted customers arrive everyday. great businessman like Rockefeller made his first million in this trade and went on to standard oil, a company liked to virtually all the cancer clusters in Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteChina owns most of the opoids.
ReplyDeleteI'd do drugs with Rhiannon Ally.
ReplyDeleteI own the vibrating dildo that's up 5:35's ass.
