Deep dive comprehensive look into all of the phony financials and promises from companies competing for a piece of local air travel . . . Or, Mayor Sly's big money last ditch effort to put his name on a public building. You decide: They Look Good On Paper But Will They Fly At KCI?

At the precipice of great change, with autonomous shuttles to largely remake travel experiences, a contrived and urgent fix is designed to generate pork. Smarter consideration would say at this moment of transformation, it is no time to lock in decades of a wrong model, when models are in fact fundamentally changing.
ReplyDeleteThe planners are obtuse to bigger changes going on, they are making mistakes with the public money, and in disingenuous forced rushes. Berkebile should be retired, and Burns and Mac disqualified. What a mess Sly has made, and it is not over yet.
Burns and Mac is corrupting KC and it is amazing this flies, of course Sly is in on it. The article is correct but near stringent enough, related to for example parking.
ReplyDeleteWith autonomous shuttles serving the Airport parking could be half of current levels. With next generation of security devices present design could be supported very effectively.
But Burns and Mac, and pork orgy players don't want you to undress that.
Responsible players would say it is not time to make this type of a decision with disruptive changes imminent. Of course this is not lead by responsible players.

6:59 -- ALL truth!
ReplyDeleteThe single-terminal is just as, if not more, lame-brained and embarrassing than the wasteful and impractical TooT LooT+Tons O' Taxes Flushed Down The Toilet+Touristy Toy Trainy Thingy... Clunk!
save kci convenience and efficiency. vote no.
ReplyDeleteButtfuck & McCouche proved how incompetent they are by fucking up Bransons dinky little airport which is falling apart after only two years.
ReplyDeleteSAVE KCI? SAVE YOUR BREATH!
ReplyDeleteThis is Kansas City, the DIRTY DEED HAS DONE BEEN DONE!
NFL AT 6:04, why bother?
ReplyDeleteWe can watch Chimpanzee fights any day we wan at the Kansas City Zoo!
^^But as usual we didn't ask you. We will never ask you. You don't matter. You are an in-bred, redneck, cousin-fuckin moron. You chimed in anyway.
ReplyDelete^^^^sLIE, is that you again!!!
ReplyDelete12:04 ya, so what?
ReplyDeleteI shook my head at the pretty picture leading this article. It shows a spacey facade with people being either dropped off or picked up at the curb. It also shows people crossing heavy traffic from somewhere. Geez, folks, can't you understand this is KCMO. We have snow, ice, heavy rain, scorching heat, sometimes all in the same month. Why are we forcing our precious guests to hoof across busy streets to get to the airport? That's what we have now. Is this the best the designers can come up with? Oh, and vote NO if they can't improve on what we already have.
ReplyDeletethat's right.
ReplyDeleteif a new and improved airport must be built, it should definitely have (1) rental car facilities adjacent to the terminal--no shuttle required, (2) covered walkways fo covered parking, and (3) lots of modern bathrooms including for families and transgenders and all that.
what else? please add to above list of desiderata.
Sneaky devil you putting transgender in your comment like we wouldn't see it! Screw them!
ReplyDeleteLove how your so called spam filters will delete a comment of merit but this slips through.
