Just a bit of local rain has flooded local streets and put lives in danger this morning.
Moments ago, local TV watchers witnessed a heroic rescue given that a great deal of the Southland is submerged at the time of this writing.

And so, early this morning we are reminded that both the Kansas City grid and the sewer system, like a pair of emo twins during their freshman year away at college, can't handle even the slightest strain. Or whatever bad analogy works for you . . .

There are a few more POWER OUTAGES reported, a great deal of the urban core is a puddle this morning AND don't expect any help getting those branches in city streets cleared.
