SCHLITTERBAHN VERRÜCKT LAWSUIT PAYOUT: $20 MILLION WHILST KANSAS CITY MEDIA STILL REFUSE TO MENTION HORRIFIC CALEB SCHWAB DECAPITATION!!!
A middling settlement as Kansas City media still FAIL to mention the term DECAPITATION in their reporting despite the facts of the case.
Locals could call all of this courtroom transcription "journalism" but that's being a tad generous when the interests of politicos and corporations are put far ahead of public safety concern.
Take a look at a topic that we've already talked:
Biz Journal: Details of Schwab family Verruckt settlement: almost $20M
KCTV5: Family of boy killed on Kansas waterslide to receive $20M
KMBC: $14 million of the payment to Caleb Schwab's family will come from SVV 1 and KC Water Park. The two companies are associated with Texas-based water park company Schlitterbahn. The rest of the money will come from the general contractor, the raft manufacturer and a company that consulted on the 17-story "Verruckt" waterslide, which was dubbed the tallest in the world.
You decide . . .
Very sad.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the money isn't much consolation to a family that has had to go through this trauma.
NOW IT'S TIME TO TEAR THAT STUPID SLIDE DOWN LIKE THEY PROMISED!
ReplyDelete^^^ +1
ReplyDeleteSaw this earlier but I keep wondering why the Unified Government isn't also on the hook. They played a big part in this and ultimately it was there decision to put those nets up that proved to be the biggest cause of the fatality. They got off unscathed.
ReplyDeleteThe politics of this tragedy still stink and they leave most people who go to amusement parks unsafe.
R.I.P. Caleb.
ReplyDelete10:44 the UG goes unscathed on the matter, but the tax payers still on the hook for the $800,000 bond deal.
ReplyDelete$20M divided by 264 stairs to climb = $75,757.57575757576 per step
ReplyDeleteIf this family had any morals they'd donate that money to the Mizzou football program or scholarship fund.
ReplyDeleteIf there's no video evidence then the kid didn't have his head lopped off. Regardless a needless accident and tragic loss of a young life.
ReplyDeleteOf course there is video evidence, 1;06. They just don't release it.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with several who mentioned, the UG should have been made to pay, because they INVENTED THE INSTRUMENT OF DEATH, the Decapitation Solution, the hoop and nets. Then the Gang of Five, the Design Review Committee (none being licensed structural engineers) FORCED AND DEMANDED that Schlitterbahn install the Decapitator Hoop Nets in order to be allowed to open.
Shame, shame, shame.
I heard from a source that they was video that the boy took the belt off. . . No clue to believe it or not.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see Byron on that waterslide
ReplyDeleteYou're way behind on this buddy! Tony bringing up the rear as always.
ReplyDeleteThey need to have one last welfare kids day before dismantling the slide!!!
ReplyDeleteKill yourself-not later-but-right now.^^^
