KANSAS CITY POLICE STAY LOSING BUDGET BATTLE AMID EPIC MURDER SPIKE!!!

Many thanks to a TKC BLOG COMMUNITY DENIZEN for sending this link which speaks to the level of busted priorities at City Hall.

Checkit:

KCTV5: KC City Council adopts budget for ’17-’18 fiscal year, does not increase police funding

That's right . . .

THE MURDER COUNT ROSE BY NEARLY 30% LAST YEAR AND THIS YEAR THERE'S ANOTHER 35% HOMICIDE INCREASE UNDERWAY BUT POLICE WON'T GET MORE FUNDING TO MEET SALARY CRISIS NEEDS!!!

When we talk about root causes of local homicide . . . At the top of the list shouldn't be guns, poverty or education but instead a very real lack of political will to address a problem that leaves more bodies on local streets nearly every day.

You decide . . .

  5. No doubt about it 7:16.

Tony are you stupid or just unwilling to admit the real problem?

  6. If we exterminated all the negroes (a one-time cost), we could lay off 75% of the police in this city.

  7. The citizens of Kansas City deserve better than this.
What a waste of government. the police department is corrupt and self serving.

  8. The Water Department.
    The airport.
    Street maintenance.
    The KCPD.
Please name a single aspect of municipal government services that are well-managed, cost-effective, and meet the needs of the residents.
    A SINGLE ONE?

  10. Don't forget Kansas City suckers, I mean taxpayers, renewed the public safety sales tax. That was a total rip-off. Thanks for playing!

  11. lots of idiocy here but no solutions. You people need to stay in your trailers.

    ReplyDelete
  12. ^^^. Says the guy from his room in his parents' basement.

    ReplyDelete
  13. ^^^ LOL? Where you writing from, the trailer park in Topeka after a hard day washing cars? You seem very judgmental for somebody commenting on a blog at 8 o'clock on a weeknight. Sorry your family left you. Hang in there, it gets better.

  14. Why is there no mention of the city employees who will lose their jobs next month? NO mention. It means reduced services--if we expect any services, we need city employees. Want trash picked up? Streets cleaned of snow? Someone to answer a phone so you can get information? Too bad.

    1. What services...? If we get any it's always half assed. Fire them all!!! Government workers need to do something the rest of the world does...Like actual work. Gravy Train is being de-funded. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

  15. ^^^ Excellent point. Whole city going down the tubes so that we can buy new fire engines that sit at the station most of the time.

  16. 8:56, hypocritical asshole, you were the one that started it by talking about "You people need to stay in your trailers."

What's the matter, had a tough day serving coffee at Starbucks? Sorry your family didn't give you a pacifier, little baby. Hang in there, it gets better.

  19. Chuck's act is getting stale. Anyone who has a different viewpoint or expresses a thought counter to his is branded a libtard" or a "commie." He fancies himself some sort of a poet or deep thinker but he is neither. In reality he is nothing more than a scared old white man afraid of a world that has long since found him irrelevant and rendered him useless. These cut & paste attacks on everything he fears (change, progress, youth, human rights, decency) are the last gasp of a dying generation crying to be heard as they go gently into that goodnight.

  20. Once again 11:06 chuck you fail to grasp what is apparent to the rest of us. No one is trying to curb your free speech. We are free to post as much(that's you) and whatever we want. We are all just tired of your SAME OLD comments. You don't ever have anything new or witty to add. You keep recycling the old comments you posted two weeks ago. I guess I'll break it down for you because you seem incapable of grasping this. YOU ARE BORING. I can't speak for ever else has posted on here but I am certainly not Byron. I AM NOT BYRON.

  21. Just cut the Budget. As you can clearly see they are lining their own pockets and wasting taxpayer money. No need to increase the Budget.

  22. Kansas City would be better off with the Mafia protection racket.
At least you get something for your money.

    ReplyDelete
  23. @4:33, now would be an ideal time for the rise of the mafia again. You pay for protection, your neighborhood becomes safe(r), the predisposed violent criminal element is driven from the neighborhood. You still have to deal with the racket, and maybe a couple of jumped up guidos, but they are a known quantity. Not the feral behavior of untold numbers of inner city amish scholars.

  24. Hey Tony! Here's your chance to apply for the Police Chief job. Perhaps you can do a better job, huh?
