TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! INFO-GRAPHIC: CHECK RISING KANSAS CITY TAX RATES OVER THE NEXT 30 YEARS!!!

Double tap news today on a tax and spend effort that deserves more scrutiny.

To wit . . .

SPECIAL THANKS TO KICK-ASS INSIDERS FOR SHARING AN EASY TO UNDERSTAND GRAPH ON THE TOPIC OF RISING KANSAS CITY TAX RATES!!!

Here's the image and the word that contradicts so much local hype about cowtown "affordability" that's quickly disappearing . . .

Is A Picture Worth $800 MILLION???

They say a pictures is worth a thousand words. In this case, those thousand words are worth $800-Million or $800,000 each.

Below is the illustration of the increases promised over the next 30 years. Please note: This isn't your tax, BUT THE INCREASE IN YOUR TAXES EACH YEAR.

Oh... and if your home and car are a bit nicer than the 140k and 15k level, please adjust significantly HIGHER from here.

You know, I sure wish the city would tell us what the actual tax was and the increase. It's really handy to know that in my taxes are going up $100 dollars in FY22, as our chart illustrates, BUT THE QUESTION STILL REMAINS WHAT WILL THAT MY TOTAL TAX BE !?!.

Does anyone think it will be lower than what the City is trying to sell?

It never ceases to amaze me that to find the TRUTH, we must go to the alternate news sources. Where's channel 9, 4, 5, 41 or any of radio's talking heads asking ANY questions?

  1. Tax and spend Kansas City is cutting it's own throat. Don't know how these people have the gall to bash Trump when they're far more dangerous and doing much more damage to KC.

  2. Didn't we the citizens already pass a tax on infrastructure several years ago? Where did that money go and what was it used for? We all know Slie and his cronies are a bunch of lying thieves. This GO bond will just take from those who can least afford it. Dangle not having to pay for sidewalk repairs in front of folks that live on poverty's edge, do we think that the city will repair these sidewalks in a timely manner if this GO is passed?

  3. Also, don't forget to factor in assessment increases. The final number will be much higher.

  4. What is it with this guys? Dragging out sidewalks repairs to sell their corruption filled bond issues? Watch Sly and Holland lick icing off their shoes, while city services and taxes go through the roof. You'll never see the $800 million put to use. It's going to their pals for this or that.

It will be good and gone as were the piles of gold bars and cash sent off the Iran by Berry and friends.

  5. Government services are supposed to be free! We need to have 0 taxes and just have Mexico pay for everything.

  6. Remember what I told everybody last month about that $15.00 wage increase ????

Now ya know why,,,, it was all a farce, the city council was all for it, then behind everybodys back, they've devided a way, to take it all right back away from those who supported it !

    See how that works !!!!!

They act like their doing you a big favor - while stabbing you in the back !!!

Those advocating & supporting a higher min. wage, are never going to actually see it, nor benefit from it !

In the end, your getting the rug pulled out from under ya !!!!

  7. Speaking of debt. Unless the Trump administration somehow finds a way to contain the unbridled expansion of "cheap" student debt, which is encumbering an entire generation with loans that can never be paid off, we are confident that it will be virtually impossible for the US economy to truly undergo a sustained period of strong growth in the foreseeable future.

  8. But how will I get my transgender studies master degree without loans!

  9. It’s not surprising that Kansas City can’t construct a coherent view of what is happening, or make a plan for what to do about it.

  10. Let me see if I understand this. Richard Dickhead the Developer gets 30 years of no taxes for his condo on the Plaza. I get 30 years of tax increases to pay for Dick's tax free, luxury get away.

    Is that about it, Sly?

  11. Who do reach coherency with the Kansas City Business Journal, The KC Star, KCUR, and the local television stations controlling the discourse.

    You don't.

    Keepin' it Frosty!

  13. BUT THE QUESTION STILL REMAINS WHAT WILL THAT MY TOTAL TAX BE !?!.

I can't tell you "what will that my total tax be"....whatever the fuck that means. Suppose it depends on how much your property is worth.

And how you clog up your sentences with misplaced words.

However there are lots of big cities that choose to make no effort to maintain their infrastructure.

Why not move to one and enjoy your utopia? Be sure to take your shitty math skills with you.

    There's the door.

  16. Another Sly boondoggle. KC's worst Mayor.

  17. So where can I get one of these $150,000 houses so I can pay some tax. NO real Estate dealers can find me one.
