In fairness, it's important to offer a look at what the supporters of $800M in GO Bonds are doing to make their case to tax weary Kansas City voters.

Take a look at the extra special deluxe mailer going out to locals by way of Dead Tree Media stuffing, direct snail mail routes and handed out in special not-so-secret tax meetings across the city.
Right now, we want to take a cursory look at campaign literature . . .
The front cover should look familiar . . .
Inside, a three page pitch that leaves doggies as an after thought . . . Despite the fact that this is the only solid promise for the money.
Back cover offers some paltry justifications with no guarantees.
Look closely at the fine print and there's a promise of "a modest property tax increase" that's actually a lot bigger than what City Hall admits.

Or, just check the junk mail bin checked at local curbs starting tomorrow.

This observation doesnt even dwell upon the fun Sly will have dispensing 800 million dollars to his friends. It is apparent to me that the Bowtie and his co conspirators on the City Clowncil have no shame and are driven by disdain for the public and boundless greed. Shame on all of them :(

But where is the formal opposition presenting the real facts about this scam? It's great that Tony's KC and the showmeinstitute write blogs and such. But where is the CFRG and their people passing out fliers to oppose this?

They have attended many of the meetings and handed out the true facts produced in house. It takes big $$$ to do color mailers, etc. . Donate to CFRG,. 4741 Central ST. Ste #112; KCMO 64112!
