TKC MUST SEE!!! KANSAS CITY SCOOTER DOCUMENTARY FEATURES DIY ENTHUSIASTS RIDING LOCAL STREETS UNLICENSED!!!

This morning, take a look at EXCELLENT KANSAS CITY MOVIEMAKING featuring a vibrant alternative transit option that looks way more fun than anything else on the road. Even better, while everything on local streets requires legal operation, these riders avoid a great deal of regulation thanks to gray areas in Missouri laws.

These ryders claim that in KCMO, scooters/pocket bikes/mopeds don't require licenses, insurance or much gas at all. More importantly, the sense of community these DIY enthusiasts seem to have is one of the very best examples we can see of Kansas City creative class cooperation at the grassroots level in terms of transit.

Take a look at the best thing on the local Internets this week . . .

"A short documentary highlighting the scooter/moped subculture in Kansas City, Missouri."

To our blog community . . .

ARE SCOOTERS A VIABLE AND BLESSEDLY UNREGULATED FORM OF TRANSIT IN KANSAS CITY'S URBAN CORE?!?! BECAUSE, WHEN THE WEATHER'S NICE, THEY SEEM LIKE A LOT MORE FUN THAN MOST OTHER OPTIONS!!!

You decide . . .

  5. How could these folks found such a deserted street in downtown KCMO?
Where's all the vitality and exciting activity?
Hundreds of millions of tax subsidies, 24 million tourists, and "the fastest growing residential market" in the metro!
    The city that never sleeps!
Ain't nothing like this here in Cowpie, Nebraska.
    Hahahahahaha!!
