The effort to stop streetcar expansion is gaining steam around Brookside and Midtown . . . Here's a group rallied around a former transit line turned beloved walking trail who is hoping to make a big showing at an upcoming court date.
A recent message from Trolley Trail supporters:
"On September 15 tell the Court what a bad idea the streetcar expansion is. Let the Judge know that if a mail-in ballot is requested, it's unconstitutional because it's unduly burdensome, unfair, and throws up too many roadblocks to casting your vote."
Meanwhile, the Council continues to express skepticism about the plan and let's not forget that these folks are the same people who stopped expansion efforts a mere two years ago.
