Kansas City Police Helicopter Emergency Street Landing On Independence Ave Deserves Ensuing Celebration!!!
For those who didn't see this one previously . . . Here's the best parking job of the week in Kansas City.
Checkit:
Description from KCPD: "Our helicopter had to make an emergency landing on August 3, 2016, because of a mechanical problem. The skilled officers/FAA-certified pilots flying it managed to safely land it on Independence Avenue at Elmwood. A nearby business provided this video of the emergency landing."
More in a bit . . .
Poor maintenance, or pilot error.
ReplyDeleteEither way, the pilot did a nice job of setting it down.
ReplyDeleteFAA certificated, not certified.
ReplyDeleteI would hope they are FAA approved.
ReplyDeleteMaybe if the pad spent more on officers and less on war toys, they would' the so devastated by the budget "cuts" (you know, the "cuts" that entail more and more money from the city budget every year)
ReplyDeleteIts a good thing they didn't use the PD priority response system or they would still be waiting.
ReplyDeleteSure they landed it this "mechanical failure" but, how safe are we with these things flying over our houses?
ReplyDeleteAbout as safe as all the airplanes and news helicopters flying over your house now. Also as safe as the cars that drive down your street...you know they never crash.
ReplyDelete^^^^^ right!!
ReplyDeleteHey lets by all means try and find SOMETHING,ANYTHING,
to bitch and be scared about..oh man, peoppple are a trrrrrip!!! LOL
Great job pilot! You help KC and all the real residents that your skill helped you avoid disaster. You should've taken a bow!
ReplyDeleteChopper pilot is damn lucky he didn't have PD chasing him or he'd have killed 27 people, taken out six telephone poles, wiped out a Mr. Donut and be charged with felony resisting.
