There's a myth propagated by politicos and civic leaders that the Kansas City "creative class" only reside in the Crossroads and belong to an elite social circle funded by patronage arts contracts funded by the local corporate jet set.
While there are more than a few artsy snobs hanging around this town constantly looking to make headlines . . . Kansas City is also home to a bevy of inventive souls who make this cowtown just a bit weirder and better than most other places in the metro and throughout the Midwest flyover country.
For example . . .
EARLIER THIS MONTH WE STUMBLED UPON THIS EPIC LOBSTER WINDOW DISPLAY IN MIDTOWN KANSAS CITY CERTAINLY WORTH A SECOND LOOK!!!
More than a few people were stopping to take pix and these are just a few shots garnered from a safe distance.
It's not exactly high art but it's fun and brightened up my evening --Which is why we're posting it for the late night just to break up some of the hateration of so many humorless souls who read this blog constantly for the news and discussion but don't seem to be having any fun . . . Which is kinda sad.
And while this local artist might not earn a place on a reality show or in fancy museum back Wast . . . This creator will have to settle for what is likely the most KICK-ASS sun room in Kansas City this Summer.
