TKC Saturday Night Playlist: Shooting, Protest & Kansas City Bar Security Debate Con'td!!!

Reports of bar room shooting tonight along with ongoing protest over a controversial deadly entertainment district encounter remind us that the busiest time of year for local club life comes with a great many problems.

Take a look:

Man suffers life-threatening injuries in shooting at metro bar
Family of man killed by police 3 years ago protest for answers
Shooting at 57th and Troost bar leaves victim with life-threatening injuries
Accordingly . . .

LIKE IT OR NOT . . . WHILE THE KANSAS CITY BAR SCENE BOOMS, IT ALSO BECOMES INCREASINGLY DANGEROUS!!!

This week was marked by City Hall pushing forward $27 million for an entertainment district. Clearly this town is invested in good times but it's not really a safe bet.

And all of this inspires our playlist tonight . . .

As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe and fun Saturday night.

  1. When you say bar security? Don't be too timid to say what it really it. It's dress codes and a lot of people think they're a good idea.

  2. Flogging Molly, good work.

  3. The guy lived after the shooting on Troost but probably not for long. Credit to the FD, they were on the scene almost immediately and if they hadn't have been, the victim would have expired. I think a good story would be to look at our first responders and see how understaffed and overworked many of them are.

  4. I would have went with a prince playlist but I understand he didn't want his music on the Internet.

  5. He was the first person to put his music on the internet.

    Try again, hater.

  6. Another dead man at Bobs In Motion. I'm shocked. Absolutely stunned. Anybody going there should expect to leave dead. It's that simple.

  8. Once again, Byron lies.

  9. Kansas City is safer than its ever been with sirens blaring all hours of the night.

  10. Anything at 57th and Troost is bound to be infected with the deadly NIGGER parasite. Who, in their right mind, would ever voluntarily enter a NIGGER bar on Troost?? Exactly, another fucking NIGGER!

  11. Incredibly, thousands of white people, thousands more than black people, went to a bar last night and didn't shoot anyone. The presence of a single black person increases the odds of a crime taking place exponentially. Put two of them together and it's virtually guaranteed. Their stereotypes would be funny if they weren't so damn violent. Any bar or restaurant that caters to black people is doomed to failure.

Music started to be available on the internet in 1993. Prince was the first only to make an "album" available for purchase via download over the internet back in 1998. Prince was also the first artist to try and sue a family because they used a part of one song to their child dancing on a website. Prince lost that battle

Meanwhile, the hillbilly boy from WV jumps up trying to be a shit-stirrer while probably sitting in his own shit stained underwear since the blind bat can't see, so how does he wipe that asshole of his clean.

Roy Orbison was supposed to be just as blind as Byron, but didn't seem to stop him from going out and earning a living.

  14. 57th and Troost is hardly the KC bar scene, but I understand how Tony might think that. I save my life nightly by avoiding coon town when the sun sets. Doesn't take a statistician so sort this out.

  15. Prince was the first black Jehovahs Witness junkie to die from an opiate overdose and then have 10 million coons trying to lie about it on the Internet.

  16. This was thethe second shooting at Bob's In Motion in 7 months. Who is the owner fucking at City Hall that lets this place stay open?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Probably the same family as the Green Duck. That place should have been close decades ago but here we are talking about a local historic designation amid a obliterated neighborhood. Proof that negroes will support anything.
