PARTICIPATION IN KANSAS CITY CITIZENS TASK FORCE ON VIOLENCE PLUMMETS AMID DISPUTES OVER CRIME & PUNISHMENT!!!

The local rate of killing and violence continues to trend upward after last year's 36% increase in murders.
Meanwhile, a highly touted group devised by Mayor Sly James has suffered a serious drop-off in attendance after introductory meetings celebrated by mainstream media.
Credit where it's due . . . Less than two dozen people attended this weekend meeting but they are some of the most dedicated and committed people in all of Kansas City proper when it comes to finding solutions to curb violent crime . . .
Frustrations Evident In Community Discussion Focused On Combating Violence
Interestingly . . .
NOTICE THAT SO MANY OF THE POLITICALLY CONNECTED APPOINTEES OF THIS KANSAS CITY CRIME TASK FORCE HAVE FAILED TO EVEN SHOW UP ONCE!!!
Additionally . . .
Here's an interesting passage from the report that shows a stumbling block in the conversation about Kansas City crime . . .
"Although several residents echoed an endorsement of KC NoVA and Aim4Peace, a few disagreed in regard to enforcing harsh penalties for possession of deadly weapons.
"Shane, who withheld his last name from the group, pointed out that for many low-income families robbing a store is an act of desperation, and incarcerating people only means there’s one less provider for a family."
Now, the idea of KC crooks as Jean Valjean — Stealing loaves of bread to save their families from hunger — is an interesting but also incorrect notion. As the local rate of violence rises the trend that authorities and media have noticed is increased deadly fighting connected to drugs and gangs along with a growing number of violent domestic disputes gone horribly wrong . . . Like it or not, while poverty might be a factor . . . The spate of Kansas City killing isn't motivated by a struggle against starvation but instead might represent the rising influence of drug gangs and a serious lack of dispute resolution skills among the increasingly uneducated and frustrated working-class among every demographic.
