Quick peek at this town's busted finances this morning . . .
The KCMO budget includes:
- Less cash for Kansas City police that could take officers off the street amid the ongoing homicide spike . . .
- Not much revenue from all of the white elephants that city all supports . . .
- And A LOT of money for consultants and their studies
Take a look:
View the FY 2016-17 Adopted Budget
Mayor Sly James and the City Council approved the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 Adopted Budget on March 24. The adopted budget aligns with the goals established as part of the Citywide Business Plan to set the City on a path toward greater financial stability. As part of a bold new plan to eliminate blight and revitalize Kansas City neighborhoods, the Adopted Budget proposes a comprehensive $10 million bond issue to eliminate the City’s approximately 800 registered dangerous buildings over a the next two years.

Which section of the budget is allocated for bribes?
ReplyDelete@6:04am
ReplyDeleteThose would be found in the consultants and unallocated balances line items.
PIAC accounts are also likely places to look.
And pretty much anywhere else, as money can be moved around at a moment's notice by "recognizing an emergency".
Well, actually most of the budget. That's why bribes are so hard to find.

ReplyDeleteChapter One...
How to pillage the KCMO middle class and the unwashed poor of East KC.
Did you see the $217,000,000 we still owe for the last airport update? I thought the airlines were paying for it??? Page 302
ReplyDeleteI don't see that on Page 302. Can you clarify?
ReplyDeleteBut you guys all said CK is broke and busted and no one wants to live or work here and te streetcar stole all the $$$!!!!
ReplyDeleteI found it on page 317. Airport Bonds - 217,755,000
ReplyDeleteOkay it is page 302. They put all the hype and fluff in the first 301 pages and the bad news starting around page 302.
ReplyDeleteHell the city's obligations (debt) is only $2.4 billion what the hell is there to worry about!!!
ReplyDeleteRide the free Trolley and enjoy!!!!!!!!
What's this trolley you mentioned? First I've heard about it, but it seems like it's probably the cause of every single thing that's wrong. Good thing the roads we build all over te northland are free to build and maintain and totally pay for themselves, and they are never empty or overbuilt. Plus they are super safe and never cause any "accidents". And they are brand new technology, not stinky ol 19th century technology and raids are flexible and can go around anything. That's just common sense. SMERTCK!
ReplyDeleteGreat info here. Shame that our leaders are stealing hand over fist. Nobody watching the foxes in the chicken coop.
ReplyDeleteSo exactly why was it you KC pricks came out to the county to collect E Tax?
ReplyDeleteBoycott Kansas Shitty!!!
KCPD shouldn't have spent so much on spy equipment
ReplyDeleteAll you need to know about the Trolley is the downtown line was the result of a rigged election the city as a whole didn't have a chance to vote on.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a fraud since the beginning.
