TKC MUST SEE TONIGHT!!! KANSAS CITY FREEDOM INC. EARNS BIG BUCKS FROM EARNINGS TAX PAC AFTER ENDORSEMENT!!!

Playing politics in Kansas City comes at a high price for many power brokers and tonight let's take a good look at how the game is played.

To wit . . .

THANKS TO KICK-ASS TKC READERS FOR SENDING THIS LOOK AT FREEDOM, INC. TAKING DOWN A NICE CASH PRIZE FOLLOWING AN IMPORTANT E-TAX ENDORSEMENT!!!

Remember at the outset of this month the folks for Progress KC touted their diverse supporters that included Freedom . . .

And now, readers of this blog point us toward a crucial campaign finance report . . .

This is important because the newspaper is pretty much on Mayor Sly's payroll and they're not gonna do any reporting about the cash behind this campaign . . . So we're doing our best to come up with the TASTIEST tidbits to savor among our blog community and other newsmakers.

More importantly . . .

This cash connection seems a tad LOW given that the 3rd district will make or break the e-tax vote . . . We don't begrudge the money given the winning record that Freedom, Inc. has achieved over the course of the past few years.  All things considered, the claim that Progress KC is playing stingy with their formidable purse strings remains the same as the earnings tax renewal campaign ramps up.

Developing . . .

  1. That's just for this reporting period. You'll have to wait until it's done to see how much they are paid total. That's the flaw in the Missouri ethics system.

  2. "the most savory tidbits to savor"

So we should savor the savory tidbits, since because it's savory and everything, we should be savoring it. Because it's savory. Savor the savory, I always say!

You're the worst hack writer I've ever read.

  3. ^^^^^^
Is that why you're here @7:42 on a weekday night? Are you the TKC writing coach? Is he paying you to offer him a lesson? Methinks you enjoy the smell of Tony farts. And for that, God have mercy on your poor soul, Wildman.

  4. Everyone knows that Freedom can be bought by the highest payer....nothing new. Many times they cannot deliver what they have been paid to do.

  5. How much are they paying for an etax vote? If it's more than $150, that would be worth considering.

  6. It's the same old sad story of a little group of grifters selling out the black community again and again.
Most of whatever money comes to Freedom will find its way into the same old pockets.
Endlessly doing the same thing, the same way, with the same people, and then getting the same terrible results and blaming everyone else.
How's the $18 million for 18th and Vine coming?

  7. It's a damn shame that this community can't do better. We need better from our leaders, we need a plan to move beyond the earnings tax. The same plan that Mayor James promised four years ago. We need to take this city into the future and not cling to a tax that was invented in the 60s. We have so much work to do and in order to start that we must realize that we need to move forward together.

  8. Can we get more details on what exactly Freedom Inc is?

    1. Freedom inc is a drain on society and progress. They hang on to their 50 year existence as though they've accomplished something other than total destruction. You're better off not knowing them. Nothing but near-do-well's.

  10. I agree with TKC. They deserved more for pushing this turd.

  11. That's, like, $1,000 per vote that Freedom can "deliver".

  12. How do you spell corrupt?

  13. As they say, a fool and his money soon part company.

  14. At least the E-tax vote is lessening income inequality. Every 5 years the rich developers have to share some of their ill gotten gains with the poor east side grifters. But given a couple of TIFs they will easily recoup it.
