A recent bit of Missouri ethnography claims that guns openly and legally displayed in public are making the divisive culture war discourse even worse.
Take a look . . .
Phys.org: Are looser gun laws changing the social fabric of Missouri?
Money line . . .
"For African Americans in Kansas City, the result was often intimidation. "I see white guys and their sons walking around Sam's Club, Walmart, and other places where we shop, strolling with guns on their hips like it's the wild west," he told me. "They're trying to be all macho, like they have power because of their guns, walking down the aisles. It just makes me…stay away."
"Subverting the traditional narrative of racial anxiety, African Americans often cited the charged implications of white citizens brandishing guns in mixed race settings – a narrative that played out writ large in downtown St. Louis after the passage of Amendment 5 and just months before protests began in nearby Ferguson when white Missouri open-carry advocates paraded through the streets waving handguns, long guns and assault rifles."
Of course the obvious answer to this is for people of color to start exercising their gun rights as well. And while Kansas City legislators were embarrassed when their recent move against open carry was SMACKED DOWN . . . The reality is that most anti-gun legislation or sentiment usually only serves to benefit gun manufacturers.

ReplyDeleteHokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid
ReplyDeleteWe fired a couple ICBM's a week or so ago as a show of muscle to our rivals China, North Korea, and Russia.
ReplyDeleteWhy not show some muscles on the streets around here in CK?
They used to call that police walking a beat....
ReplyDeleteWho should be more afraid, a black man walking around Wal Mart or a white man walking around on Prospect.
ReplyDelete7:31, FTW!
DeleteTKC is clueless. "Of course the obvious answer to this is for people of color to start exercising their gun rights as well."
ReplyDeleteAnyone with a ounce of sense knows they already are.....how many murders in KCMO last year? How many murders in Olathe or Lee's Summit last year?
When you cant find a dozen coons in town who can legally posses a gun because the others are all felons I guess that is RACISM too? I can see where the thugs are uneasy.
ReplyDeleteThe law allows people of any color to open carry. That is if you can find a black without felonies who'll jump through all the hoops necessary to be a lawful gun owner.
ReplyDeleteAnd the quotes tell me that open carry worked. All the right people were upset. And everyone else got to shop in peace and safety. Just like the good old days.
Open carry with CCW permit

I weep that my intellect and virtue do not match yours. One day, with discipline and prayer, I will be allowed on you're island of righteousness, beards, and shit music.
DeleteRacial tension is another term for the coons are scared that not just them will have a gun. Game over Cleophis.
ReplyDelete9:00 Better put on your seatbelt 'cause nobody cares what you want.
ReplyDeleteWhite people, even liberals are starting to realize what a threat there is from blacks in numbers and alone. Blacks who leave others alone, have nothing to fear and the scum bag thugs who rob and rape, are now at least seeing some resistance to their violence.
ReplyDeleteViolence, as I have ALWAYS said, is the ONLY thing blacks will respect and understand.
"You're"
ReplyDeleteYou're is a contraction of you are. It has no other uses. This is a 100% rule. If you cannot expand it to you are in your sentence, then it is wrong.
"Your"
The word your sits before another word (usually a noun or a pronoun) to show that it belongs to "you" (e.g., your car, your arm), is of "you" (e.g., your picture, your photograph) or is related to "you" (e.g., your uncle).
Grammar Bitch . I be so smart I cans correct all yous dumb people on this here blog. I wents schooln
Delete2:33 the grammar cunt
ReplyDeleteHow sad it must be to waste all your day looking for a simple grammar error so you the "Internet Cunt" can leap on here and point a finger at someone. Why don't you take that finger and shove it up your ass, then stick it up your nose and smell yourself the rest of the day. I think you will find that you stink as bad as we say you do.
It's about time we started intimidating the NIGGERS. These black bastards have been winning this game for too long. Welcome to Smith and Wesson, you stinking, fucking coons.
ReplyDeleteIf my favorite stores don't put up signs banning guns, I don't give them my money anymore.
ReplyDeleteYou have to run it on down to these storekeeper types in language they can understand.
God created Amazon for a reason.
