SHOW-ME LASTING IMPACT OF FERGUSON RACIAL UPRISING RIOTS AND UNREST ON MISSOURI GUBERNATORIAL CAMPAIGN!!!

Here's a look at Missouri politics still in a state of upheaval after a nationwide protest dilemma revealed that our regional political leaders quickly crack and look silly under prime-time media scrutiny.

Maybe the best bit of Missouri reporting on this election we've seen so far . .

STL Public Radio: Missouri gubernatorial candidates talk about a post-Ferguson agenda

Description . . .

The four Republican candidates have made a point to show solidarity with law enforcement – and have often criticized the protest movement and policy push that followed Michael Brown’s shooting death. Likely Democratic nominee Chris Koster is striking a different tone from his Republican counterparts, but he, too, has emphasized his bond with police officers.

Leadership in the midst of the Ferguson unrest may be one of the most important issues in this year's gubernatorial contest. So we asked all five major candidates to talk about this topic in detail. Several candidates answered questions on episodes of Politically Speaking. Koster talked at length on the subject at Democrat Days in Hannibal. And GOP gubernatorial hopeful John Brunner’s provided written responses.

  1. All those towns employ a lot of prison guards and require a steady flow dark skinned people of color. They need assurance the flow of incarcerated individuals continue to supplement the local economies.

  3. The unrest wasn't about Michael Brown. That was just the spark.

It was about Missouri's Ongoing War Against Blacks.

  4. Well thank you for your expert analysis Mr. Funkenshyster. Words of wisdom right from the whiny coon bible. There is no war against blacks. For most it is more like getting sit on your shoes and working to get it off. It is not war when you simply want to live in peace without getting the shit stuck on your shoes and the same goes for coons. Have a great life - just keep your whiny ass black bullshit away from me.

  8. The Democrats lost the gubernatorial election the night Nixon let Ferguson burn. He screwed the party and this time next year Missouri will be Kansas: single party rule of the governorship and legislature.
