Don't follow the local rules, and the command of those charged with enforcing those regulations, then you are subject to pepper spray, horse trampling or whatever means necessary. At the end of the day, just stay on the sidewalks and quit being jackasses. Notice the pepper spray stopped when people moved back to the sidewalks. This isn't rocket science folks.
Like police K9 corps, horses are commissioned for official duty. That slap is prosecutable, and should be.

It is these people that the police are supposed to be serving. They should have blocked off the street, just as they do for the middle class when they have their "feel good" events.

ReplyDeleteIn a protest and/or civil disturbance operation all the police need to do is make reasonable decisions based on what is going down. There police ordered protesters of one type to stay on the sidewalk on the opposite of Trump supporters. Protesters entered the street and one struck a horse. That alone would indicate the police order to remain on the sidewalk was reasonable under the circumstances. When the police continued to order people back onto the sidewalk and they refused they got gassed. Another reasonable act by police to restore order. Don't come to the scene of a potential riot and start playing shit house lawyer unless you like being in the shit house. That simple!
