Big promises abound during election time and right now a professor at UMKC hopes that presidential candidates will pledge to follow through on tough talk about Wall Street influence over the American political system.

Huff Post: The Whistleblowers' Plan Offers Hillary the Perfect Opportunity
Intro . . .
"I am writing as one of the four founding members of Bank Whistleblowers United. We came together recently to create a detailed plan that could restore the rule of law to Wall Street and dramatically reduce the risk and damage of future financial crises. We crafted it so that it could be implemented without any new legislation or regulation. We offered our aid in the implementation process to any candidate who wins the election - and pointed out that President Obama could implement it immediately. Our plan and approach virtually defines the word "pragmatic." It would also transform finance and begin to end its corrupt culture."
Read the whole thing and realize that Kansas City could play a major role in shaping fiscal policy for the next president IF any of the candidates are serious about the reforms they're promising before the election.
Developing . . .
This can all be smoothed over with $650,000 in speaking fees. Let's be friends.
ReplyDeleteTKC, I read "the whole thing", did you? Nothing there except to pledge to stop taking campaign contributions from banks. Really?, all those words to say that? This is hardly a piece in which "KC could play a major role in shaping fiscal policy". Maybe you should read before you talk about it. Another powder puff piece from Puff Host.
ReplyDeleteBeef up the Justice Department and SEC with blood thirsty litigators. Send people to prison. Start with AIG.
ReplyDeleteFormer AG Eric Holder made nice with the crooked robber barons who crashed the economy. Now Eric Holder is doing campaign commercials for Hillary Clinton and gushing over how he has known her for more than 20 years. Now he works for a lobbying law firm with a financial sector practice. Of course, he is doing commercials for Hillary.
ReplyDeleteIf you are going to vote for THAT, you might as well vote for Trump.
If we have done something wrong, have your man call my man and we can fix it all up.
ReplyDeleteDid I miss something. The link was to a HuffPo piece where Bill Black says he's got a plan. I missed the plan.

ReplyDeleteThat's how it works with Clinton and Trump. Secret plans. Just trust them to cut a deal.
Learn how to read ReTHUGlicans.
ReplyDeleteThere was a link to the plan in the article and in this post:

YOU PEOPLE ARE WRONG. If we do not work with the banks and Republicans we will never get anything done. Sure that means giving up on most things but they will not take everything. We have to work with them. HRC will get that done.
ReplyDelete9:21 How did that approach work out for European Jews in the 30s and early 40s?
ReplyDeleteWho owns the banks and Wall Street? Who controls the gold? Always the Tribe counting their shekels.
ReplyDeleteRight now Hillbilliary is looking for the Obamy amnesty plan.
ReplyDeleteBetter start right away explaining this to Hilarity. It will take quite a while to get it to sink in where she can explain it. Lots of Luck.
