TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY SIDE STREETS STAY LOSING AS PLOWS SKIP NEIGHBORHOODS!!!

Once again City Hall has failed residents who have been waiting on help in clearing dangerous local streets.

Remember, most accidents happen within a couple miles from home. Accordingly . . .

THANKS TO KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS FOR CALLING OUT ELECTED OFFICIALS OVER TREACHEROUS AND SLICK KANSAS CITY SIDE STREETS!!!

Here's a note sent to 12th & Oak . . .

"Side streets in Waldo are sheets of ice. How about doing something about them?"

And here's the response . . .

RE: Side Streets

Thanks for contacting us concerning this. Your question was sent to Public Works and we received the following update…

“Crews are out trying to address the situation. The sleet/ice from yesterday bonded to the pavement overnight with the falling temperatures. We are having to de-ice side streets and, with little to no traffic and a lack of moisture, salt does not work very well. The sun being out will aid the situation, but it will take time. Crews will be out in larger trucks this afternoon and we hope to see some improvement in the daylight hours.”

In speaking with a representative, I learned they are hoping to free as much ice as possible before low temperatures set in tonight and tomorrow. Feel free to reach out if I can be of further assistance.

Online, City Hall is coping with the backlash over dangerous side streets:

As always, there's a blame game about what KCMO doesn't cover . . .

Whatever the case, we remind drivers to be careful, drive SLOWLY and remember that KCMO would rather focus on developing hotels, funding luxury apartments and giving away tax breaks to millionaires rather than maintaining local streets.

  1. We don't even bother calling Third District representatives. They don't even have to do anything to be in office. Low standards. High death rate.

  2. Blame game? Those are state routes that MoDot plows, you niggerloving idiot

    ReplyDelete
  3. I like the "please have patience". Translation, it'll melt by the time the city gets there.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I drove through Leawood last night, and I hate to tell you pricks, but it was just as bad-if not worse-than KCMO.

    ReplyDelete
  5. What? Check around to see if the roads were just as bad everywhere?

Heck, that would take work. Bitching takes no effort at all.

By the way Tony, for both you and that poor baby in Waldo who bitches to you about everything, wait until you get your wish and the E-tax is repealed. Then we'll see how bad city services can get.

  6. Tony would have known that there was ice bonded to the pavement had he gotten up off his ass and tried to shovel his mother's sidewalk. But he's obviously too damned lazy to do even that.

    ReplyDelete
  7. The fuckers sent Lil' Cindy Circo to Milan to stumble through a speech.

These assholes don't need our e-tax dollars, and only an absolute rube would vote to extend it.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Just got home (on sidestreets) and they're great. Now if only homeowners would shovel and put out salt or icemelt.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Right. Circo went to Italy, so take away 40 percent of the city's operating budget -- and much of that paid by non-residents.

Meanwhile, watch your property taxes shoot through the roof as the city attempts to make up at least part of that.

Honestly, Tony. The illogic and low IQ of your pseudo-libertarian readers truly is astounding. Just when you think they can't get any dumber, they prove you wrong.

  10. If you are sliding down residential streets in Waldo, please remember that Councilman Scott Taylor is responsible and does not give a damn about you.

  11. I went to PV side street last night and I hate to tell you pricks, it was plowed.

    ReplyDelete
  12. So streets in KCMO haven't been plowed, your getting substandard service for your tax money and the roads are a sheet of ice? What dad? This has been going on since the mid '70s???

    Who knew?

    ReplyDelete
  13. 5:17: You're so right. I didn't think you could get any dumber, and you constantly prove me wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hahahahahahaha!!!!! YOU elected the do nuthin nigger so suck it!!!! Stupid nigger lovers!!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. We had to hire someone to plow and treat our Hyde Park Ghetto street, oops they did plow Central Hyde Park streets...rich whitees need to get to Starbucks

    ReplyDelete
  16. MoDot may be responsible for Antioch but Gladstone does not wait for them. A sheet of ice on the KCMO section and just a wet street once you crossed into Gladstone.

    ReplyDelete
  17. ha looks like the 3rd is getting better service than brookside. And if you believe that one I've got another deal for you.
Snow plow ran on the side streets yesterday and today in my neighborhood.
Why do I think lil tony is peddling shit.

    ReplyDelete
  18. You people in KC put up with this shit every time it snows, and much other local government fuckery besides, so that means you deserve it.

Across the line in JoCo, even side streets were cleared by mid-morning. As usual. It was, after all, pretty minor as snow storms go.

  19. In West Dotte, heavy de-ice applied on main and side streets Sunday midday, then another quick pass Monday night on our steep hill 'burb streets--Thank you. Always good clearing for over 25 years in this same area.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Tired of shitty snow covered streets in KCMO and the lack of basic services? Contact the mayor and the city council and demand they fire city manager Troy Schulte and public works director Sherri McIntyre.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Let's blame it on the immigrants.

    Trump in 2016.

  22. Snow? What's that?
