We already pay the government to hold and protect the privacy of this medical data, but since our soldiers and sailors aren't that important anyway we just contract a third party, hand the privacy responsibilities over to them and hope we can blame someone other than the flaky assed government when there is a breach. Did any of you military people get asked if your medical records could be passed around to civilian agencies? Fuck no.
