TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! TEAM GLOVER FIGHTS BACK AGAINST KATY SHIELDS AND PHIL CARDARELLA AMID CONFLICTED KANSAS CITY 4TH DISTRICT AT-LARGE RECOUNT PROCESS!!!
Behind the scenes, the fight for the Kansas City 4th District at-large spot is heating up and should reach critical mass next week.
Whilst the Katy Shields and Phil Cardarella camp are already taking measurements for new office furniture . . . Team Glover is working diligently behind the scenes.
Here's what we know about this tense process . . .
THREE JUDGES HAVE RECUSED THEMSELVES BASED ON CONFLICTS . . . THE PETITION FOR RECOUNT HAS NOT YET BEEN RULED UPON!!!
The petition has been assigned to a 4th judge, again, the official recount should start next week beyond the double checking that the Kansas City election board performs . . .
Team Glover tells us that they're doing their absolute best to keep up with Shields & Cardarella . . .
"Katy has Phil, 'The New Gloria,' to help her. It's a twofer! There's a lot they should answer for but Jim didn't want to take that route during the campaign, he is a good man and only wanted to run on the issues. If that wasn't the case, she would have had to explain a lot of her past ISSUES at every forum."
Recounts are an expensive and contentious process . . . Expect this one to get messy as the fight for this crucial Kansas City Council spot comes down to the wire.
Developing . . .
The real question here TKC is whose side the Mayor is taking. That should be the determining factor.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Madame Mayor Pro Tem will settle all this. If not least she could teach all the corect way to do their nails.
ReplyDeleteGet lost Glover! You lost! Deal with it!
ReplyDeleteSly loves Katie now, he betrayed Jim.
ReplyDeleteGlover lost by less that 1%, so he has an absolute statutory right to a recount. Problem is that both he and Shields have been around so long that it is hard to find a judge who is comfortable taking the case involving both of them. Too many mutual friends, etc.
ReplyDeleteThe likelihood of overturning even a small margin -- given modern methods of voting -- is pretty slight. But, when your supporters have been generous with both time and treasure, a losing candidate owes it to them to at least go through the motions.
Everybody knows Katy is a crook, liar and flimflam bitch. Recount. Won't change anything. She is a sleaze bag and this town deserves her.
ReplyDeleteShields wins; Glover goes back to practicing law, if he can!
ReplyDeleteGlover ran on his record, and that wasn't good enough. What you did 15 years ago had merit, but people are sick of Sly bullying them. Your vote gave him too much power and cost you another term. This was more about saying no to a tyrant, than yes to his lackey. Good luck Jim, it's a shame you forgot you serve the people.
ReplyDeleteIf "serving the people" ever became a criteria for being elected in KCMO there'd be lots of empty offices.
ReplyDeleteIt's more "what are you going to run for next"?
Just keep renewing the earnings tax and not showing up for elections and Sly and the gang will take it from there!
Oh, and contribute to keep the fountains running and patch your own street.
Are you planning to go to the FREE streetcar reception in the River Market?
The innovation capital of the world!
Hahahahahahahaha!!
4:51 got it right.
ReplyDeleteKaty has Phil, 'The New Gloria,' to help her. It's a twofer! There's a lot they should answer for but Jim didn't want to take that route during the campaign, he is a good man and only wanted to run on the issues. If that wasn't the case, she would have had to explain a lot of her past ISSUES at every forum." What a bullshit quote! Only wanted to run on the issues? What a crock of shit.
ReplyDeleteGlover has become the Rain Man babbling away and not saying shit. That and the fact that Shields worked hard and had Freedom's backing, proved to be decisive.
The "quote" is outrageous, false and ridiculous. Shields and Cardarella may not be the most attractive personalities, but they are both much brighter and more competent than Jim Glover. Just look at their campaigns. For an incumbent to lose in Kansas City is a true rarity and the fact that Glover lost (even a close race) is pathetic. Jim has served his time (so to speak). He should take this opportunity to put his personal life together and get the counseling he needs. There is much more to life than politics and I hope he comes to understand that...
