"Kansas City soul food legend Ruby McIntyre died today at aged 95 in TN. Ruby was a memorable character that served locals soul food excellence from 1955 to 2004 at 15th & Brooklyn. This was a groovy place and her food and personality is well cherished by locals, especially police, Fireman and city officials that were regular patrons."

Meanwhile, longtime residents know that Ruby is one of the highlights of Kansas City urban core culture.
Ruby was a Kansas City treasure. She was an entrepreneur and a true legend in our city. Her memory will be treasured and we need more people to share her spirit in build their own businesses in our community.
