TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY 4TH DISTRICT AT-LARGE FIGHT: PRIMARY CONTENDER JARED CAMPBELL ENDORSES INCUMBENT COUNCILMAN JIM GLOVER!!!
In one of the most heated Kansas City election contests, here's FIRST word of campaign support in an exceptionally close race.
To wit . . .
4TH DISTRICT AT-LARGE CONTENDER JARED CAMPBELL NOW THROWS HIS SUPPORT BEHIND INCUMBENT COUNCILMAN JIM GLOVER!!!
Here's the word . . .
Glover4KC.com: "Jim is honored to have Jared Campbell's endorsement. Together, we can all make Kansas City an even greater place to live, work, and enjoy."
This nod is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT because some have argued that both Bryan Stalder and Jared Campbell votes were anti-Glover . . . Now it seems the at the team supporting the incumbent has managed to split the difference and win the support of the 3rd place finisher who is also an active volunteer and rising star among the civic set.
This is a rare example of effective campaigning strategy from Team Glover that has otherwise been content to count on name recognition . . . In this close race, it's clear they're staying busy and maybe working just a bit harder than Ms. Shields right now.
Developing . . .
Stalder is probably going to go with Shields because she helped him during the Thatcher talks.
ReplyDeleteendorsements are a tricky game. All the votes don't directly transfer but a lot of them do. This seems like a CA-style maneuver for sure.
I guess Jared just did not want to get mixed up with a crook. Good for him.
ReplyDelete'Bryan stalder votes...'
ReplyDeletehahaha! Both of them?
Katheryn will not need the little prick Campbell to whip Glover like a puppy who wet on the rug
ReplyDeleteI had faith in young Mr. Campbell until reading this. You career in politics is over little boy.
ReplyDeleteEndorsements are a strictly insider game. The public has no idea who these people are and couldn't care less about their recommendations. In fact, most residents don't even know who the current council members are!
ReplyDeleteThe little insider club of D-list local celebrity politico wannabees just looking out for themselves and their friends.
Maybe Jim can get Campbell a spot at the public trough to show his gratitude.
Same tired old crap.
Oh, and by the way...it's YOUR money that fills the trough.
Jared supports extension of the folly trolly. Thus I question his judgement.
ReplyDeleteThere's Glover, with that thumb of his that he has up his ass most of the time. What a fat, little loser!
ReplyDeleteThey probably just paid the little shit cash.
ReplyDeleteTake it from me Glover!!! Luxury Apartments near a streetcar line are the the best investment the taxpayers can make!!!
ReplyDeleteWho will be next? Probably that buttfucker David Johnson. Oh wow, my money is still on the former County Executive who did so much for our community.
ReplyDeleteGlover pays everyone in cash
ReplyDeleteThe good parts of the City should not forget that Glover got the endorsement of both Nigger Rag excusses for newspapers. So if you want Eric Wesson deciding what outrageous suits to by with your tax dollars or the Jordan family figuring out how to take your land then go ahead and vote for Glover. People with jobs and families should vote for Ms. Shields.
ReplyDeleteIf Glover should win re-election we will not have on historic structure left in this town. We well have cheap new construction with no character. I am ashamed that this City voted for that man in the numbers that they did. People do not understand that he will destroy everything we have built in this City if given another term.
ReplyDeleteDid Campbell get any votes?? I mean his endorsement isn't really much to write about, is it!?
ReplyDeleteIf the competition is between Kathy Shields and Jim Glover - I'm choosing Kathy Shields.
Shields is more honest and will vote on behalf of her constituents. Glover only touts Costco what - else? Che k the record. Mute!
ReplyDeleteShields is more honest and will vote on behalf of her constituents. Glover only touts Costco what - else? Check the record. Mute!
ReplyDeleteKatheryn is known for honesty.
ReplyDeleteGlover broke a rubber!
ReplyDeleteLets be real. Glover has nothing to put a rubber on.
ReplyDeleteWhy Glover?
ReplyDeleteTo all those with short term memories, Kathryn Shields is one of the most pathetic excuses of a representative. Do your research. ANYONE BUT SHIELDS!
ReplyDeleteKathryn Shields.... Honest???
ReplyDeleteYou have got to be kidding me. Her husband Phil must be writing her blog posts just like he writes everything else that comes out of her mouth.
Shut up! You obviously hate strong women because you are too weak. You disgust us.
ReplyDeleteDisappointed in Campbell's choice. Glover is a crook and has NO regard for his constituents . . . especially minorities http://www.pitch.com/FastPitch/archives/2014/10/16/eagle-point-owner-of-section-8-apartments-on-armour-boulevard-files-federal-complaint-against-kcmo-mac-properties

Just imagine Jim Glover Chair of the City Council Planning Zoning and Economic Development Committee????
ReplyDeleteShields is absolutely the worst choice to be made. That fat, obnoxious, old bitch, has no business holding office of any kind. She's a proven thief and reprobate.
ReplyDeleteYou got my hopes up 2:01 but alas it says " No Charges are currently due."
ReplyDeleteFrom Steve Kraske:
ReplyDeleteWho’s up, and who’s down, in the wacky world of politics:
↓ Jim Glover. The longtime Kansas City councilman barely nipped former Jackson County executive Katheryn Shields in Tuesday’s primary for the council’s 4th District at-large seat. Glover gets a boost from third-place finisher Jared Campbell’s backing. But Shields, bum ankle and all, brings lots of energy. Glover can point to the massive midtown Costco development as a signature achievement. But voters seem to be asking, “What have you done lately?”

Campbell just wants to run again in 4 years -- and Glover would be termed out. Again. The seat would have no incumbent. Less an issue of policy than of math.
ReplyDeleteGlover's problem is worse than Sly's: Glover did not pay his personal property taxes on time. EVER. Not his 2009, 2010,2011,2012,2013 or 2014. Look at the dates of the payments and check the receipts. All online.
ReplyDeleteAnd that probably means that in 2010 -- for the 2011 election -- and 2014 -- for this election -- his certification to the Clerk was "in error" == to be diplomatic about it.
Maybe Campbell should have sued.
Good points Anonymous 7:09. Glover is as guilty as Sly. Taxpayers have a greater chance to correct the injustice by denying Glover another term in office!
ReplyDeleteThat Shields bitch is so ugly, you wouldn't fuck her with a vaccinated crow-bar....
