It's not so much that he's taking over for Larry Moore . . . But more like he's FINALLY becoming Kansas City's own Ron Burgundy in his own right.
Here's his lovely new wife Dana Wright sharing the deets:
"I am sooooo happy to be able to share some exciting news with our friends and family!!! Kris just found out, after 32 years with KMBC, they are moving him to the evening news. We were both, to say the least, stunned. Kris LOVED the morning show and looked forward to going into work every single day-- But I am so thrilled for him that they are finally handing over the keys . . . (not to mention the schedule change!!! NO MORE 1:20 AM wake up call !!!!!) You can catch him soon at 6, 9 and 10 pm. I am so proud of you, my love"
