Quick note from our pal Craig about his big weekend plans . . .
Jamie Kennedy Live At The New Stanford and Sons This Weekend
Most of us know Jamie Kennedy from his movies and many TV Shows. What many may not know is that he has done stand up comedy for nearly 20 years. He fit it in between series and films. Kennedy got notice when he co starred in all three Scream Movies. Jamie also was in well received pictures like Boiler Room. All this led to his leading roles in two leading roles The Mask 2(son of mask) and Malibu's Most Wanted.
Kennedy became a favorite at Comedy Central and got his own show, The Jamie Kennedy Experiment. Recently Jamie has done even more comedy with a recent one hour special and a comedy live show for the new Jennifer Lopez network, on now.
Its been nearly 15 years since Jamie did Stanfords. That was back in Westport. So it will be fun to see him again and enjoy his work on stage. So if you are a fan of his movies or tv shows come out and have some fun with Jamie. He meets everyone after the shows.
Stanfords brings back one of our favorite female comics next week with Judy Tenuta. Yes the 'Love Goddess' returns. You can have dinner before the show. Yes we have 'flower pot bread.'
For tickets call the club at 9134007500 or go to stanfordscomedyclub.com. Have fun this weekend no matter where you go.
The new Stanford and Sons Restaurant and Comedy Club is located at Rosana Square 119th and Metcalf.

Sounds good gramps!
ReplyDeleteLisa Landry is at the Improv.
ReplyDelete"flower pot bread"???
ReplyDeleteDo you bring that in from Colorado?
Still trolling for last-minute customers on TKC? How sad!
ReplyDeleteGuess that means that this weekend isn't exactly a sell out.
Judy? Still looking pretty damn hot even though she's a a couple years away from officially reaching granny status.
ReplyDeleteI'd do her. She's looking better then many women half her age. Even more attractive then some of these booze soaked prematurely aged 20 something chicks.
ReplyDeleteWho? Face it felon, nobody cares!
ReplyDeleteMike Berbiglia at Midland Saturday -- that guy's a HOOT! - plus a "variety show" opening..sounds good --We're going.
ReplyDeleteJamie is a funny boy, saw him on Fox this morning.
ReplyDeleteThe Bear would rather watch Negros car surfing at the Plaza and hoping that one gets plowed by a passing bus.
ReplyDeleteWho goes to "Ray's Playpen" of South Metcalf anyway. Word has it the "Comedy Club" smells of 3 day old piss.
Nah, bring on the Negros and let the fun begin. If the bear wants to smell shit he will get his whiff from Turd Creek on the Plaza.
One Block South is a much better place to go for a night of fun. Food is ten times better and cheaper. I agree with PB the comedy dump stinks, probably from the shitty cleaning crew who don't clean it often enough.
ReplyDeleteOh I will have fun this weekend no doubt and I for damn sure won't be at Stanford and Sons doing it.
ReplyDeleteI actually met Jamie at Chiller Theatre Expo, and he was a complete jerk to me. I have respect for all comics because they are usually very cool people. Not Jamie! He lost my respect the moment I met him. I know he is one of those "anti-hater" people, but honestly, after I met him, I think he creates his own haters. This has nothing to do with the movies that he was in. People don't like him because he can be a jerk in person. Not because he was in a movie that critics didn't like.
ReplyDeleteAlso, my friend saw one of his stand-up shows at a comedy club, and before the show, he pre-bought one of his stand-up CDs, and he brought it with him for Jamie to sign after the show. Jamie refused to sign it unless he bought it on the site there at the club. He already has it!! Why would he want two??
Honestly, he's not a good person. If he wants to keep working, he needs to change his game. Also, I actually did kinda like him beforehand, but after my encounter and hearing my friend's story, there's no reason to like him. I don't care if critics scarred him for life. There's no reason for his attitude. Just shake off the criticism! That's what Rob Schneider does. And Rob is super nice to everyone he meets!
Went to see Jamie Kennedy last night at Stanfords, first time there. Busy, had dinner, very good, service solid, club was fun and damn nice. They need more bathrooms, but those are being built in the expansion I see next door. Jamie was very good, so was the co star, don't know his name. Jamie stayed after show took photos shook hands. I got a picture with him. Nice guy.
ReplyDeleteHad no plans to go to Stanford and Sons tonight. I read some of the hate mail. Know what I'm going want to see what the truth is here. I'm leaning towards its a good joint with good comics and food will check it out report back.
ReplyDeleteCapt Bob and Wade are Glazer!
ReplyDeletewe all know it is him...that is what makes this so pathetic. It will only be a matter of time before this place is closed.
