We won't belabor this one too much because we reported most of it before anybody else in Kansas City.
However . . .
KANSAS CITY INSIDERS EXPECT FORMER SEN. JOHN DANFORTH'S UPCOMING REMARKS TO SHAKE THE MISSOURI GOP TO ITS CORE!!!
Here's the preview . . .
Everybody Hates Catherine Hanaway
GOP ladies rarely earn statewide traction among their party and this is no exception . . . The death of Tom Schweich taints Former MO Speak Hanaway worse than anybody else because it's harder for lady politicos to get past the "ice queen" tag anyhoo AND because she kinda represents that hardcore politics that people lament in the aftermath of this tragedy.
GOP Honcho John Hancock Won't Be Getting Any Help
Our blog was FIRST to document the move to oust this dude and it's only gonna get worse . . .Behind the scenes, GOP Insiders throughout Kansas City are stepping away from their leader who is now a target of more media investigation into his curious quotes.
Axiom Taking A Hit
Kansas City media is afraid to call out Axiom by name even though their involvement in this one isn't nearly as bad as Hancock's horrible media coverage. Still, we documented their ad game connection to this controversy that could elicit more push back today.
Missouri Republicans Declawing???
It may not last long but a call for Republican "civility" or something similar in the aftermath of this political demise is certainly on the table. Credit to a Dead Tree Media ediorial on this one. Nobody like a bully.
Welcome To The Rebellion Against Rex Sinquefield
As usual, expect a Kraske column on this TKC tidbit a couple of days from now as usual . . . The biggest practical consequence of the GOP slapfighting after the Schweich death is a continued division betwixt the Rex Sinquefield faction of the party vs. just about everybody else.
Make no mistake, Missouri might be a soundly Red State but what this death has revealed is a severely fractured and leaderless group filled with personal animosity and without any coherent vision for the future of the state . . . Which, in retrospect, kind of explains why they've been losing the big statewide contests to the Missouri Democrats.
Developing . . .
Fear what?
ReplyDeleteTrust no one, expect nothing, and you'll be fine.
ReplyDeleteHow bout something other than corrupt politicians, fear, and death for today?
ReplyDeleteI don't get the whole "Psst did you hear Tom is a Jew" thing. I mean, what party is falling all over themselves trying to get a seat to hear Bibi today? What party is trying to put distance between the Jews in the middle East while they suck up to the Arabs/Persians? Plus, all he has to say is, "yes my grandfather was Jewish but I'm Christian." Evangelicals eat that shit up. That is the whole point, after all. Saul/Paul was the first convert of a long line. Better to play down the Episcopalian angle though, it just confuses them. Keep it simple and he could have been Governor for two terms. I mean, anybody who met Holden knows that someone with absolutely no presence can be Governor.
ReplyDeleteIf Axiom and that fat, cocksucker, Rowe are taking a hit, this is great! What a ball of shit, this lard-assed, jerk is.
ReplyDeleteDoes this mean that I should not hire Jeff Roe as much?
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be a misunderstanding how the power structure operates in the US. The two party system is a game of Five Card Monte played for the Working Class to give up their investment in production. To go outside the rules of Five Card Monte has tragic consequences for the Republican Speaker Of The Missouri Legislature
ReplyDeleteSinqufields money isn't getting him out of this one
ReplyDeleteAxiom, Roe and T Rex are down but not out. Paddock and Roe won't change and will still have plen
ReplyDeletety of business. People will still take Rex's money.
