#BounceBackJimmy Kansas City Confessional

After a deadly home-break-in gunfight, the big belly superfan for the Kansas City Royals Jimmy Faseler finally speaks:

Royals super fan talks to KCTV5 about his ordeal

There are a great many money quotes include the fact that Jimmy has a Master's degree but here are probably the most important passages:

Faseler has been asked by detectives not to talk about what happened, but he says from the moment he was shot, despite having critical injuries that had him on life support for two days, he knew he would survive.

"I'm a man of faith," he says. "So even in the moment it happened I knew I'd be OK."
Faseler says he's overwhelmed by the outpouring of support, and if there's a silver lining, it's that people are getting to learn about the real him.

"I'm not just this goofy fat guy that dances on TV," he tells KCTV5's Jeanene Kiesling. "There's a part of me that's serious about people, relationships and serious about making the community better."

  1. "There's a part of me that's serious about people, relationships and serious about making the community better." And that, Alonzo, is what separates your thugs from this guy.

  5. Tony are you and Balonzo having a little spat? Just a few days ago you were cheerleading his effort to compare the reporting of this story as racist against those of black victims. Now here you are doing exactly what has been characterized by your dear friend as a racist imbalance in reporting. Do you get a pass?
