Last week politicos and local leaders were bragging about their progress against local murders, right now the quotient of violence remains constant and continues to trend upward.

ReplyDeleteDEar Mr. Tony: Thanks for posting this info. It is looking more and more like the celebration over the city having "turned the corner" on the crime situation was premature. Yes, in the first 8 months of 2014 we had only 41 homicides--but in the six month period since Sept. 1, 2014 we have had 50 homicides. Since our average in homicides for the past decade has been around 100 a year, the stats from the last six months indicate that we are "returning to the norm." Take care. Sincerely, Ernest Evans
