Tonight is the not so grand Kansas City Country Club Plaza 2015 turn-off.
It's a tradition that few in this town celebrate but the occasion still holds a certain significance.
The Country Club Plaza Lights turn-off signifies the official end of the holiday season, abandonment of wishes of goodwill toward human kind, work procrastination excuses and just about any other kind of nice sentiment. Already we've been celebrating election bickering but now it's time for the gloves to come off as candidates attempt to sell their meager accomplishments to a mostly disinterested and/or disenchanted voting public.
The Plaza is the last vestige of old Kansas City and nowadays the entertainment district is home to social unrest, economic downturn and violent teen flash mobs rather than any real holiday celebration.
We won't shed too many tears given that J.C Nicholas was kind of a bastid and the architect of restrictive housing covenants that discriminated against mostly everybody . . . UP TO AND INCLUDING THE IRISH.
So, the lights get shut down as we take moment of pause (no fishsticks) to gear up for more fighting via this
Hopefully, we'll have more BREAKING EXCLUSIVE NEWS, discussion, debate, discourse, probably some hateration and all kinds of good stuff for the morning update . . . STAY TUNED!!!
Alright man, that is some depressing shiz. You better come back with a tap dance or something.
ReplyDeleteLighten in back up dood.
Since the lights have been on for nearly two months, it's high time to turn them off; just don't turn off the security cameras.
ReplyDeletetrue dat
ReplyDeleteSo that mean the flash mobs can move back in?

ReplyDeleteAs long as there is something to steal, there is no danger of losing the hood rats / flash mobs of "teens" -- funny, it seems "suspects" and "teens" are PC ways to say "black thugs and their baby mommas."
It's always about the personal property rights. Fuck the killings, it doesn't affect me and my family
ReplyDeleteFucking shame that plaza has been taken hostage. Need a better plan from Sly!
ReplyDeleteA strong leader for law enforcement
ReplyDeleteThe plaza is not the plaza anymore. Btw where is "KJ" these days?
