This year our blog community wants to acknowledge crime, hate and homicide that continues to go uncounted by official stats but remains a threat to the safety of all Kansas City residents.
Moreover, this Kansas City person of the year reveals the prejudice and bigotry that lingers within local diverse communities.
FOR 2014 TKC NAMES DIONTE GREEN THE KANSAS CITY PERSON OF THE YEAR!!!
Thanks to TKC TIPSTERS we broke news about this Kansas City hate crime death and LGBT community advocacy that hadn't met with much sympathy from authorities or the media.
The mourning of Dionte Green's murder continued to go largely unnoticed until national media did more reporting on the matter and documented the tragic homicide, hate crime suspicion and divisions within Kansas City's LGBT Community.
Matthew 25:40 - "The King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.'
This passage reminds us that the death of Dionte Green was ignored by the mostly white advocates of Kansas City's LGBT Community because they find it hard to identify with gay denizens of the urban core and minorities.
Many leaders in the African-American community don't approve of an LGBT lifestyle so Dionte Green's murder evoked no outrage in the Black community.
To this day, Dionte Green's homicide has not been documented as a hate crime despite the testimony of his friends.
There has been no justice in Kansas City for this murder- This is one of many examples of statistics not providing residents a realistic portrayal of real life on local streets and so we celebrate the life and legacy of Dionte Green in hopes that his death will not be in vain and might serve to show this wicked little town something about diversity and the value of life.

Kansas City has surpassed any city I have ever lived in for racism against any race that is not black or white.
If I go into a black owned company and ask to speak with their diversity person, I will bet my paycheck a black person will walk out and shake my hand, whats diverse about that?
White companies seek out the most "presentable and acceptable" black person they can find to put out front of its diversity poster, just look at JE Dunn the diversity is 90% black and a sprinkling of anything else.
Have you ever looked at a diversity poster? prettiest black people I have NEVER seen on the street, a few white women and maybe a gay white guy tadaaah you have KC's definition of "diversity".
Fuck you KC and your diversity as well, if I had a nickel for every time you have pretended it didn't happen, it wouldn't happen or just out and out lied and put your population in the way of danger I would be a very rich woman

As of now there is no hard evidence Dionte Greene was nothing other than a black on black crime that happens all the time and not something even blacks are overly concerned about.
Dionte Greene didn't deserve to die but it is a long way from being a hate crime when compared to thos five white people.
I so want to see this get classified as a hate crime. A black-on-black murder classified as a hate crime opens the door for the WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY overdue black-on-white hate crime.

ReplyDeleteThis must be the next legal move to keep that type of legislation relative. The atrocities committed by Blacks against Blacks must be dealt with legally. It is a hate crime when Blacks kill other Blacks. How else could they have committed such crimes. That goes for the white collar crimes, too. Groups like Freedom, Inc. should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law -- and any additional laws created to combat. It's long overdue.
