TKC NOTE: Better than anything TKC could write on this topic, this perspective puts a recent political controversy in the PERFECT perspective and offers an IMPORTANT FACT CHECK on the reporting (or lack thereof) present in the current Kansas political contests that have resonated throughout the nation. Check it:
Kansas Election "Journalism" And Politics
Not one of the "journalists" who have thus far written that Bill Snyder did not intend for his comments to be in an ad has talked to him. Every last one of them is basing their articles on a column in the Daily Kos, a far-left socialist blog, that published a memo that was allegedly emailed from K-State's administration. Yet the K-State administration has refused to verify the authenticity of the statement releasing only the statement on Twitter that K-State does not endorse candidates.
We have not seen this level of journalistic deceitfulness since the phony naughty comments on the restaurant receipt stories. Every one of them was proven to be hoaxes and scams except for the one in KC because none of the stories written by our local media gave enough factual information to disprove the stories. Instead the simply gave the impression that an anonymous Christian couple had written a nasty note to an unnamed homosexual. You could however go to the restaurant and give him a big tip if you wanted.
It's impossible to talk about elections when the media is populated with such an overwhelming number of bigoted leftists who are willing to lie through their teeth to try and swing a close election.

Deciding factor, if you like Obama, you'll love Davis and Orman.
ReplyDeleteahahahaha, John Altevogt.
ReplyDeleteonce you start listening to him you've totally gone off the rails.
Newspaper = Blog
ReplyDeleteIf this thing has any legs at all Orman is toast.
ReplyDeleteOrman is a Democrat trying to sell you he is independent. That right there lets me know he doesnt deserve anyones vote. He should have just said Democrat and then gone into details on the issues.
ReplyDeleteUpdate. Dave Helling contacted me and indicate that he did not receive his copy of the email from the Daily Kos and also indicated that both a recipient and the university's PR dept verified the email Friday night.
ReplyDeleteAfter the K-State football game reporters asked Coach Snyder about the ad and he took full responsibility for the entire matter giving lie to the reports that he was unwittingly duped into doing the ad.
Much of the impetus for this witch hunt seems to have come from the head of the K-State Alumni Association, an Orman supporter who apparently believes that his First Amendment rights supercede those of Coach Snyder's.
Nice work John. It's good to see SOMEBODY keeping the media honest.
ReplyDeleteIt turns out that Tony, another far right extremist, jumped the gun and was--as the rightist press usually is--WRONG.
ReplyDeleteHANDMAIDEN OF CORRUPTION
ReplyDeleteGreg Orman has made millions over the years in complex stock deals and real estate partnerships.Mr. Orman now is applying his formidable "Art of the Deal" skills to his current acquisition bid for a U. S. Senate seat. His previous bid as a Democrat candidate failed in 2008.
ReplyDeleteThis time, a generic Democrat , Chad Taylor, won the Democrat nomination, while Orman chose to list himself as an "Independent". By sheer coincidence, shortly into the race, Mr Taylor chose to simply "withdraw". No scandal, no sudden new revelation - he just "happened" to quit -- leaving Orman as the lone opposition to Senator Pat Roberts - but as an "Independent" (wink, wink).
As in most Wall Street deals, few of the actual inner workings are made public, and Mr Orman has been exceedingly vague about future plans if he acquires his seat. But, he's assured the shareholders, i.e. the citizens of Kansas, it will be in their best interest to approve his complex acquisition bid...err... in the old school lingo.. to just -- "Vote for Me!"
Good on John for this comment. +1
