Dead Tree Media History: Tragic Kansas City Jovan Belcher Murder Suicide Anniversary

Today, Dead Tree Media offers an update on a low point in Kansas City pro-sports . . . When The Chiefs wouldn't stop their money-machine even in the midst of horrific tragedy.

Two years later, mother of Jovan Belcher’s victim struggles to cope with her murder

Deets:

"Some time Monday, on the second anniversary of the murder of her youngest daughter, Kasandra Perkins, Becky Gonzalez will go to Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.

"At the grave site, she’ll change out Kasandra’s flowers for the winter and place a small Christmas tree nearby . . .

"This is just one of many gestures and activities that help Gonzalez feel some consoling ongoing connection to her 22-year-old daughter, the victim of Chiefs’ linebacker Jovan Belcher on Dec. 1, 2012, before Belcher killed himself at the team’s practice facility near Arrowhead Stadium."

Meanwhile . . . The domestic violence trend continues in the NFL mostly without consequence and the Kansas City Chiefs prepare to enjoy another over-hyped season of FAIL!!! In other words . . . Only tragedy interrupts the longstanding legacy of money losing KCMO pro-sports mediocrity.

  3. If the cops had arrested JB they would have been called assholes. Instead they give him the benefit of the doubt and let him go, he kills and the cops are called assholes for not arresting him. See how being a cop can really suck.

  4. Funny, I don't remember any of the KC-Ferguson protesters marching in support of women who are abused/killed by substance-abusing angry black men.

  5. This was the event that really soured me on the Chiefs.

He was a perfect Chief- cheap to pay and easy to control due to his UDFA status and uncertain future. The perfect little soldier for Scott Pioli.

I hope brains ended up on Pioli's suit.

  6. Leverage other's misery, I guess, can be considered a mission statement.

    Not exacting high achievement, however.

  7. Just a common nigger being a nigger.

Tony's hate of KC knows no limits. The "mom revenge" is in full swing.
