THE TKC SATURDAY NIGHT PLAYLIST!!! TOP 5 REASONS THE KANSAS CITY ROYALS NEED TO GET RID OF GEORGE BRETT!!!

The recent success of the Kansas City Royals give us reason to hope but also evokes a bit of contemplation on this town's history.
Playoff winning seems even sweeter given a losing streak that lasted for more than a generation. But, to really enjoy the current victories and continue on a victorious requires breaking free from the past and forgetting about old school losing ways.
To wit . . .
IT'S TIME FOR THE KANSAS CITY ROYALS TO DUMP GEORGE BRETT AND EMBRACE A NEW BASEBALL SUCCESS STORY!!!
As always, we have evidence to back up our assertions.
And so . . .
CHECK THE TOP 5 REASONS THE KANSAS CITY ROYALS MUST GET RID OF GEORGE BRETT!!!
Let's make it hot . .
BRETT SPENDS A LOT OF TIME TALKING DOWN THE TEAM'S CURRENT TALENT!!!

Notice that Brett has stopped giving interviews because recently he went on about how the team is so great without any big names, implying that they still aren't as good as him. Until the team gets a championship, that's fair enough but clearly doesn't help their cause.
POOP STORIES AND POP TUNES AREN'T THAT VALUABLE IN THE PLAYOFFS!!!

Yea, we can go on and on about Brett mixing it up with a pop star but his poop story is such a better tune.
IF GEORGE BRETT IS SO VALUABLE TO KANSAS CITY, WHY DOESN'T ANY OTHER MLB TEAM WANT TO HIRE HIM?!?!
The Royals batters didn't listen to Brett when he recently spent time coaching, this year he didn't even bother to put on the coaching farce that was going embarrassing.
THE ROYALS WOULD HAVE MADE THE PLAYOFFS WITHOUT GEORGE BRETT'S HELP!!!

Seriously, does anybody but George Brett believe that he's in any way responsible for the recent success. George Brett might be a nice guy when he's not threatening fanboys with gunfire but that's not enough reason to keep him around.
29 YEARS HANGING ON IS ENOUGH, GEORGE BRETT HOGGING THE SPOTLIGHT MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO FOCUS THE NEW AND NEXT GENERATION OF ROYALS BASEBALL!!!
And here's where we must speak to the topic of incentive. The Royals keep Brett around to create a sense of continuity and for marketing purposes, but 1985 is a distant memory and should remain as much. Hanging on to the past isn't healthy and doesn't really help. As the Royals embark on a new era of success, it's time to part company with Brett not only because it provides an clear path to the future but also because nobody wants to see an old dude hanging on to glory days and bringing down the current celebration.
And all this has inspired tonight's playlist.
As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe and fun Saturday night.
