Today was a pretty big Kansas City toy train streetcar meeting where politicos shared a few fun facts and propaganda to be disseminated by the mainstream media.
Just a reality check on the toy train hype . . .
- Our blog community has documented the overall FAIL of the construction process that has been sloppy and disruptive.
- The logo still looks like a Weber Grill despite recent tweaking
- The expansion process depends on another vote in a gerrymandered district

All right!
ReplyDeleteI have not been able to whine about light rail since the beginning of the Series.
Sniveling makes me feel superior.
Me too! This train is gonna be a winner!
ReplyDeleteAnd Mensa boy will hurf durf in three... two... .
ReplyDelete"Mensa Boy"?
ReplyDeleteI swear, some of you need to refresh your banter.
Not like it gets better with use.
Kansas City needs a downtown magical mystical combination flying carpet and streetcar like a fish needs a bicycle.
ReplyDeleteWe remember how we sent your "blog community" on a wild streetcar goose chase based on some made-up nonsense and made you look like morons.
ReplyDeleteAnd it was FUCKING HILARIOUS.
And there's so much more to come.
75,000 for this garbage? who says Pendergast is dead?
ReplyDeleteThis train is just like the 18th and Vine District. We know who will use it and then we know who will pay for it. Welcome to black racist city.
ReplyDeleteComplaints about the silly ego-project that will bankrupt the city = sniveling
ReplyDeleteThese pro-streetcar clods are some of the biggest whining cunts in town.
They're still saying it will be free to ride? When it's 100 degrees outside, what will keep the homeless from climbing on board just to ride in the cool all day? Maybe Kris Kobach needs to help us with a Rider ID program.
ReplyDeleteThis has got to be one of the stupidest ideas to ever score funding in the history of KCMO. Trains are meant to go long distances and carry people to and from places. They are not meant to be used as point-to-point transit. That is what buses and taxi cabs are designed to do.
ReplyDeleteWe could have done so much more with this much money. It is a travesty that they passed the TDD in the way they did. And it will continue to haunt this city for years and years.
Period.
Suggestion to the Negro Mayors of KC. Past, present and future.
ReplyDeleteIf you stupid fucks want a legacy, fund a giant statue of yourself at the zoo.
Stop wasting taxpayer money on spirals atop the Convention Center, or a stupid ass Toy Train.
What a total pile of crap.
