Today's Kansas City metro lesson is that angry, violent and troubled students usually have angry, violent and troubled parents.

EARLY REPORTS INDICATE THAT A COMMUNITY CONFERENCE OVER RECENT WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL VIOLENCE WAS MOSTLY A PUBLIC GRIPE SESSION!!!
Confirming our suspicion that community meetings don't do much when there is no real plan on the table and a need for consensus and/or action . . . MSM profiles a great deal of "venting" which is a polite way for saying shouting over longstanding frustrations.

The tragic thing about the Washington School fights from what we've heard is that there's the same kind of Black vs. Latino rivalry that exists @ Northeast High School in KCMO but nobody feels comfortable talking about that and Mexican, mostly undocumented parents don't do the whole "conference" community meeting thing.

Of course there is a violent culture clash, black people are involved aren't they? There is a reason nobody can get along with them including, especially, themselves. Why is it that they cannot get along with ANYBODY on Earth? Black peoples problems all start with themselves.

Kids have been fighting in schools since there were schools. Now what we are going to witness here is a bunch of local yokel politicians and parents having hearings and meetings and then writing this anti school violence plan. After we decide to stamp out school fighting the tax payers will waste a few more million and guess what? There will still be fights in schools. Amazing what a few money blowing bureaucrats can accomplish when they put their minds and our bank accounts to the task.
