Now, Rose Ballentine describes her motivation in her own words:
"I had it all shaved off by a friend and I'll be donating all of the hair to Children With Hair Loss. It took a while to find a business that actually accepts processed (dyed) hair. I'll be shipping it off soon. On a side note, any photographers that book with me this month will also be donating to Children With Hair Loss. A portion of the pay I receive from my shoots will be donated along with my hair. It's a somewhat smaller company (compared to Locks of Love) so it's good to focus on giving more to them anyway."

Ms. Ballentine offers us a bit more insight into her decision . . .
"It actually feels and almost looks better than having hair. I had thought about doing this in the past, but wasn't in the position to then (due to parents and all that jazz). So it wasn't just some random spur of the moment thing. Haha when they shaved it and I felt the hair slowly being lobbed off, I actually laughed. My friend was surprised that I didn't cry."
We kept on pressing for more answers . . . TKC has known a lot of ladies and they DO NOT make decisions regarding their hair without a great deal of thought.
Finally, Ms. Ballentine made us a list:
"There are multiple reasons:
1. I had always wanted to get it shaved off
2. I came up with my way of being able to donate on top of shaving. I didn't want to have it off if I wasn't doing something decent with it. Lol
3. I wanted a change from the red locks I've had for two straight years
4. I wanted to grow my hair out naturally again at some point. My natural color is blonde and I want to "go back to my roots" (pun intended) xD I'm a pretty eccentric person and it's never black and white with me."

Her agent told us that HER DEEPLY DISCOUNTED rates: 50 per hr for regular themes. 75 per hour for nude and implied (no explicit). She's located in KC, MO area but also willing to travel.
